Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Geesh, I wish my parents would take me on ONE cruise. My parents can afford to take me on whatever vacation but promptly stopped my sophomore year of high school because I could drive and thus, stay at home alone.
Screwballs. :rotfl:
(I should mention growing up we vacationed maybe once every 2-3 years and after I started driving they began vacationing 2-3 times every year... :headache: )

Aww Patsy that's terrible. I would be very angry if my parents had done that to me. And the whole "you can drive now so you can't come" thing doesn't even make logical sense!
I grew up going to a lake in Garret County, MD for my childhood every summer for vacation so I don't get it when people say they don't do summer family vacations every year. What else does one have to look forward to?:confused3 I don't know...my family has just always been VERY family-oriented so I just don't know what I would do without my family. They're like my heart and soul. I'm sorry you didn't have that!:guilty: But at least it seems like you're close with your brother? And you can always have that with Tom and a family of your own!!!:goodvibes

Hey all, take a look at this site (provided from P.D.'s thread) and see how many of YOU's there are, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1978365.

Have a great Friday/ weekend every one!

There's only one of me!!!:goodvibes And my first name is only... "There are 134,361 people in the U.S. with the first name Heidi." "Statistically the 442nd most popular first name." Haha and it says Adelaide is closest to my name. Cute!:goodvibes
There are fewer than 336 people with my last name in the U.S. I would have gone with less!:rotfl: I have a German last name.:goodvibes Haha oh wait then it says... "The estimate for this name is not absolute. There may be fewer people with this name, or none at all." So who knows?:confused3 :rotfl:

Cute Taeja, thanks!

It wasn't so bad, I had parties! :lmao: We had an inground pool with a diving board and a big house. Par-tay!
It made sense because I could then get myself to school, work, the store, etc. Before I could drive, they wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving me at home with no means of transportation.
I love to travel but I'll admit, I never thought I lacked things to look forward to because we didn't vacation every summer. I more often than not came here (where we live now) when I was little. All our family was here, but we lived in Kentucky. It was sorta like a vacation. :confused3

It's amazing, isn't it? How things are never really exactly the amount you planned them out to be. Talk about a reality check. We just looked at a few houses and the realtor took us to a house about 10k more than we wanted to spend that would give us a TON more space, a garage, fenced yard, etc. It was pretty awesome but would need a bit more work than (with baby) I think we'd have the time to put in it.
Realtor kept pushing us on how amazing it was, how it was going to be snatched up. I just don't feel like we should ask the mortgage company for more money (we got what we asked for, which is what we're comfortable spending!) for a house with space we don't need.

We ended up picking one 4k below our comfort zone and after my dad takes a look, we'll snatch it up. By picking I mean we both agreed it was our best option.
I'm crossing my fingers that it all works out!
It's actually 4k cheaper than the one by the park I was talking about earlier and it's literally JUST around the corner from it, though without a garage and minus about 300 sq. ft.
It seems like you are making wise choices in choosing your first house. With the houseing and mortage market like it is, 'oy! . I only remember one big vacation with my parents and that was to Hawaii when I was 6 or 7. Of course I don't remember much of it now :sad2: . We would drive up to see my Uncle in San Francisco once in a while, but we never really went any where else. To this day, I don't think my mom likes to travel.

Now that I have kids of my own, we try and go places with them even if its to WDW. I'm looking forward to our Wash. D.C. trip next week. The kids think they'll see the real Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln memorial.

I'll have to do mine again to see the specific numbers,. I don't know whose name I'd be close to. When I typed in my married name (7) and maiden name (2). It made me wonder, its probably myself twice :confused3 .

There's only one me (first and last names) but I'm not surprised. My hyphentated last names are both out of the ordinary so I figured I'd be an "original" :lmao: :lmao: . As for my first name...well, I'm not surprised it's not THE most popular first name. It seemed like every other kid in my class had the same name growing up. :rotfl: :rotfl:
There are 1,074,886 people in the U.S. with the first name Lisa.
Statistically the 33rd most popular first name.

I highly recommend going to see the pandas at the zoo!:goodvibes That's all that really comes to mind...I'm not a big fan of D.C. But it is pretty in the spring with the cherry blossoms!!!:goodvibes

But there is only one YOU and you are the one Lisa that matters

We'll probably hit the zoo, I'm a sucker for pandas. I'd love to go in April some time; the trees look beautiful on t.v. :goodvibes . I can only imagine how more wonderful they look in person.

Too true! :goodvibes

The neighbor guy down the street, Tony, bought me a dozen roses tonight and said "Congrats, Mama!"
The night he found out he made me an apple pie. (He has pretty much become Tom's best friend and he plots to dognap Rinker!)

It's great to have him around. Luckily, if we get this house, we'll just be moving a few blocks further on the opposite side. We're three blocks in front of him now and if we get that house, we'll be five blocks behind him. :rotfl:

How awesome :lovestruc what a great friend. Can I ask, when did you take your cat pics out? Do you still have them? Maybe I missed the story about the cats? :scratchin:

Yep, the one in the sink, PJ, lives at my parents. Dad said I couldn't take all the animals when I moved out!~ (That and her fur is longer and she makes Tom sneeze!)

Reese- Lives with us. She doesn't bother his allergies (no idea why not?) but I took her out awhile back when she pissed me off. :rotfl:

No story involved, they just lost their signature priviledges!:thumbsup2

Yeah, we're lucky to have him. He doesn't drive so we took him grocery shopping (WalMart) last night and he went in the baby aisle and was like "Oh, I can't wait until I can buy you guys this stuff!"
(He has three kids, but they live in Houston with their mom and he misses them TERRIBLY!) :goodvibes
Good guy!:thumbsup2
