Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

..and we picked up the changing table, which I site-to-store'd from Wal Mart, and it claims 1 person can put it together in 1 hour.
It took 3 of us OVER THREE HOURS and it's still not done.
What the crap?! :sad2:

:rotfl2: You are adults. It can be put together by ONE CHILD!! :lmao:
.

I'm glad I didn't attempt this when I was super-pregnant.. You have to crawl around on your hands and knees and twist weird ways to screw things in.

It's definitely meant for the "dad" to put together if they truly only want one person.

However.. I think Tom has no idea how a screwdriver works..
He did electrical stuff in the Marine Corps. and things that involve hammering, assembling, screwing or drilling are not his forte.. :rotfl:

It's to give Dad something to do to pass the time!:lmao:

I called my friend! :rotfl2: It's all assembled but the door now.. which we can't get to hinge correctly. Luckily, we have quite awhile to figure it out.

I just know Tom and assembly of things.. and know that whenever we moved him in, his desk fell apart (literally, pieces just kept dropping off while him and BIL carried it in the door! :lmao: :rotfl: )

Here, as requested, sorta.. on Facebook.. are pictures.

The shelf I got for Lucas' room at Lowes!

This is our new TV stand (floors still haven't been touched other than taking the carpet up..)

Couch.. LOVE this thing!

I love our wrap-around couch too, Patsy!!:goodvibes
Yours looks sooo comfy too!:goodvibes

Super comfy! I've been napping there while JoeJoe (BIL) works on my nursery wall... since I can't go upstairs with all the drywall dust.

Unfortunately he is done (or so he says) so I have to go back to work now. No more couch naps.

Everything looks awesome, Patsy. That couch looks so comfy, I bet it swallows you right in. :cloud9:

Great looking purchases. The shelves for Lucas with the fabric baskets for storage are a great idea. Baby supplies now and his toys when he is older. Different colors for different categories--I can see little cars in one and people in another, etc!

The couch looks great.

We eagerly await photos of finished rooms!

:thumbsup2 lookin' good, lady! lookin' good! :cool1:

BIL is there priming his work... and overnight, I have a cieling. I dont know who did it or how it got there.. but the master bedroom has a cieling now.
And a completely re-wired and grounded house. That right there will boost so much more on resale.. and all it cost us was the price of wire and a few meals.
LOVE having an electrician that is bored.

..I have hearburn from heck. Seriously. It hurts to breathe. And I've had it since 10:30. :(

Did you try munching on almonds?

Did you try munching on almonds?

No, I don't like nuts.

I've had zantac, a crapton of Tums, rolaids, a prescription from my Dr. and laid in bed the last hour because it hurt so bad.

TomTom is worried that it is something else..

But I just got sick (sorry if TMI) and I feel about 75% better.
It's not nearly as excruciating as it was... it felt like it was going to explode before.

Ahh, the battle of the belly. You'll be munching like a little bird until little Lucas decides to make his exit. I'm glad your getting sick helped you feel better, some times that's what it takes. I think I ate shredded ginger (the same you eat with sushi) to help the heart burn. You'll get through :thumbsup2 Your doing great Patsy!

Erica--

Jackie just posted this on the Westbound Panama Canal REMEMBER THE MAGIC thread:

.....
Oh yeah....and DISer zweihund (Erica) went to her prom with host Wayne Brady!

.

How cool was that? :cheer2:
.

Well.
Not heartburn.

Gallstones... I woke up at 1am and the pain was 10x worse and all over, below my chest, on the right side, etc. After an hour of not being able to make it go away, I woke up DH and he took me to the ER because I was hysterical (crying, etc.).. it really hurt, what can I say?

Being 21 weeks, the ER was required to "admit" me to Labor and Delivery. Let me tell you.. that that nurse clearly didn't want to be there. There was another lady in labor (had a healthy baby! :goodvibes ) so the LPN and RN were in and out. OB was at the other hospital, which apparently had 3 people in labor!

After TWO HOURS of listening to baby's heartbeat and watching me cry and asking me if I felt better yet (not sure how a baby heart monitor, which is ALL they did, was supposed to make me feel better :confused3 ), they DISCHARGED ME BACK TO THE ER! :faint:

Within ten minutes they had me in a bed, with an IV and were royally pissed L&D gave me nothing. So, they called up there to get approval and gave me Reglan and Demerol.
Finally. I could breathe. And stop crying! It was like magic. ::yes::

They pretty much knew it was my gallbladder, but took blood and told me I had to wait for the US tech to come in at 7, to be sure. Blood work came back indicating I had gallbladder trouble.. and US revealed stones.

They told me as long as I don't get sick again, I don't have to be rushed to surgery (they said if my stone moved a bit more, I'd have to be rushed to surgery) but that it's very important I speak with my OB first thing Monday morning to decide how to progress.

I'm glad to know what it is but really scared. He said the surgery has a miscarry chance (of course, doesn't everything when you're pregnant?) and I'm in the right trimester to do it but it's a decision my OB and I need to make.

..so.. Not heartburn.

Oh Patsy!! So sorry to hear you're going through this. Please keep us posted! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks, Lisa.

I don't know what to do. Tom says no surgery. I just don't know. I can't take that pain again and the Dr. said my stones are "mobile" which is good because they can move out of the way of pain.. and bad, because they can move into the duct thing and block my pancreas and liver from working properly. Then I'd HAVE to have surgery and it's safest to do it in the second trimester... so if we wait, it could be even more dangerous.

Tom says nothing to risk Lucas.. but when I first woke him up, he also went back to sleep.
I literally had to slap him and say "I didn't wake you up so you could go back to SLEEP!!!" Dork!!

That's really a decision you need to discuss with your doctor. You have to have a healthy mother to have a healthy baby...so if surgery is the only choice then you do it. It really comes down to what's best for both you and baby. I'm sure you're not the first to go through this so your doctor will be able to tell you pros and cons and what ifs.

Patsy I read that the 2nd trimester is the best time to have the surgery. They make small incisons and take it out that way! Keep us inform and definately call your doctor!
