Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Well at least I got one piece of good news. I had interviewed at Mercy Hospital in the ER 6 weeks ago an d havent heard anything. Well they came today and said that they were going to offer me the job but HR told them to hold off. Anyway I have a job at Mercy Hospital in the ER once this place closes.
As for the other problem Hr told me he wants to talk with the Supervisor who was on that night. BUt I get the impression hopefully that the final written warnign will be changed. I will know something next week.

Thats great! Has to be a major relief too! I forget, when was the place you're currently working at set to be closed?

Yep! This is our cake:

The bottom layer will be plain chocolate, the middle layer will be yellow and the top DARK CHOCOLATE!

Only difference is instead of yellow, it'll be royal blue to match the sash in my dress and the thing on top that looks like it's spilling won't be there: it'll be the four cards designs, a club, a heart, a spade and a diamond. Topper will be poker chips, dice and cards!

Looks Yummy!!!!!!!!!

It is SUPPOSE to close July 1 2009. I think it will be closed sooner than that! Mercy said we can come and shadow in the ER now even do the orientation classes and other classes now and even pick up time in their ER now if we want!

OHh wow yeah, kinda get the feel for things before you start? That would be handy!

The whole hospital is closing, they announced it in June said that we were merging with Mercy hospital which UMPC had just bought. This is going to be a big change. We are a community hospital were as Mercy is a city hospital-more money! But Mercy is also a level 1 trauma center-we hardly get any trauma now so that will be the biggest change! They also have an OB unit, a burn unit, so we will be seeing all those patient where if we get someone like that now-which is rare unless they walk in-we ship them out. Other change is our "clients" dont like to cross the river and Mercy is on the "Other" side of the river.the "Troll" will get them if they cross the bridge.

I think I'd get sick of calling them every single day.

This clinic place I'm going Wednesday has the ability to do urine tests and an ultrasound. She said if urine test is negative and still no period by Wednesday they'll write me a slip for a blood test at the hospital. If blood test is positive, they'll do the first ultrasound while I'm waiting to get in somewhere else to make sure everything is OK since I've now missed two I'd be "pretty far along" and should have one ASAP
If it's negative, I'll do what I originally planned and wait on my doctor for the 9/15 appointment. If it is negative, which it most likely will be, I fully intend to look for a new doctor. Waiting over a month and a half to see your regular doctor is nuts to me. Also, she's so far away and I usually spend so much time in her waiting room it's just not worth it to me to stick with her. I'll find someone else who doesn't make me wait a month and a half to get in, that i have to drive 40 minutes to get to and then makes me wait 2 hours in her waiting room.

I just remember going through a tunnel and coming out and seeing downtown Pittsburgh! Soo pretty at night.

Yep-the Mon, the Allegheny which meet and form the Ohio. People on this side wont cross to go to the other and vice versa! It really is pretty especially at night but now the UPMC is in neon on the biggest building it kind of kills the skyline!

Aw, that stinks. I haven't been up there, other than the airport, in ages. I hope to take Tom down to the area by the river where the Hard Rock is and everything when we go up this weekend. Then I'll get to see the UPMC in neon.

I just remember when visiting Lauren's aunt and uncle (they lived in Forest Hills, I think?) we'd always come up after school Friday and go through that tunnel and we were like "Woohoo!"

I just bought a BRAND NEW 2008 Honda Fit!!!! It's allllllll mine, I paid for it!!! (My parents added $1000 to the down payment which I will be paying them back for and my dad cosigned on the loan but they know I will make all the payments.) I am SOOOOO excited!!!

No! So many people look at me and go what is a Fit?? I find it hilarious cause I've been seeing commercials for them for 2 years so I'm just like...you don't know? But a lot of people do ask so no it's not bad Patsy! Funny thing is when I first saw the commercials I didn't like the car! I didn't even like it when Holly suggested it at the beginning of the summer! But I LOVE it!!! It's so cute! Drives real nice too!

I do have pictures it's just I waited too long in the day and even though it was JUST beginning to get dark outside it looked like it was like 8:30/9 oclock at night! So I'll have to take some more later...it was just that I had just put on my "Parrothead on Board" sign and my Disney antennae topper and 2 little window hanging things from WDW that I wanted to take pictures before it rained!

Phew. Glad I'm not the only one. The first thing that popped in my mind was like Wii Fit.. and I'm like-- go Heidi, you do those aerobics! Then I realized you said down payment and I was like-- what kind of Wii Fit is that?!

Then I realized I'm incredibly tired and should probably read more carefully the first time around.

Well, I think I'm just tired.
But I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm blonde..
I've been sleeping like CRAZY lately. I went from major insomnia to actually falling asleep curled up on the couch (in the fetal position) next to Tom last night. He had to carry me to bed and it was only 9 o'clock!!!

Ohh. I love blue! If I'd gotten a new car, I'd of gotten some shade of blue or another. Tom decided my Cavalier was close to death sad1: ) and I needed a new car.. and I told him: not black again! What did I end up with? A black Grand Am. Eek, so hot and hard to keep clean!

(Although I think in deep in my mind it was ALWAYS the blue I chose. ) I was lucky enough to see ALL THREE colors next to each other and I was like AHHH SUCH A HARD DECISION!!! But my mom made the wise comment of saying if I went with the dark purple when it got dirty it would just look black. But like I said I think deep down I always new it would be the bright blue. Although the other two colors were very pretty!

The only bad thing is that ALL the Fit's have black interior. It's gonna be a pain in my butt when I get down to the beach in a couple weeks! (Literally!)

Haha, be one of those super cool people who put those things up in their window designed to keep the heat out.

I think I would have chosen the same color. We talked about buying an 09 Jeep Compass (my dream car ) instead of getting the 04 Grand Am, but we decided to buy a house so we went with the cheaper option. If I'd gotten my compass, though, it would have been blue. So pretty!

And I wish I could remember what company made this car.. but the color was GORGEOUS. You walked by it and it reflected like orange, blue, purple, gold, red, green.. the rainbow. I'll see if I can find it. I think it was on a Chevy lot up here...
