Disney Wonder October 16, 2015 San Diego 2 Day Cruise to Nowhere!!!

We just signed up for this cruise, and have been on the October 18, cruise for quite a while. I'd really love to see a DIS only FE, and would be happy to organize it if anyone was willing to participate.

Good Morning! My husband and I will be vacationing on this cruise. We live in San Diego and are so excited that the Wonder will be here for awhile. We are celebrating out 27th Anniversary on the 15th of October. We will be staying in the Gaslamp for a few days before the cruise to make this a 5 day getaway I am unfamiliar with what a Fish extender is or FE. Could someone share please? So excited for this cruise!

Fish Extenders are a gift gIvins program where you sign up to.give something to people in various cabins. And they also give you things, there is a receptacle that people either order online or build themselves that they put outside their cabin to host the gifts.

Recently there has been a rift as to whether these gift exchanges should be conducted via another site or hosted on the DIS where they were first created. While I think they should remain here, something tells me that this thread is already rooted in a FE off the DIS. Moderators do not allow off Dis posts so you are are on your own to find them. Sorry. I Wish I Could Give YOU Better News but it seems that non DIS folks have been undermining the Disboards through other social media. It's really sad because I wish the FEs would stay on the DIS. The next time I book a cruise with enough notice I will start the DISboards thread and FE here and not on a crappy social media thread!

There is nothing I like more than an afternoon on a cruise ship drinking Gin and meeting new people. That's right up my alley!!! I look forward to meeting everyone

DD (5) & I booked this weekend but not sure if we'll keep it. I'm trying to get my Platinum status in an easy way and also get my "fix". The killer is the flight expense for the two of us and also the fact that we may return 1 1/2 weeks later to do the LA area for her fall break. (So envious of all of you who can drive!)

Not sure if DH will join us decided to do inside cabin since it is so short. May or may not do FE; we did it on our last cruise and loved it. As is often the case with FE, DD loved giving the gifts more than receiving.

Just learned about FEs on our Disney Cruise to Alaska last summer. Wish I had know in advance!! Looks like so much fun. We will be on the 2 day cruise to nowhere for mine and my Godson's b-days. We are so excited and counting the days. There will be 2 adults a 17 year old and a 5 year old who will be on her first cruise. Another friend of mine and her daughter will also be on the cruise. I look forward to meeting up with friends both old and new. Let's have a great weekend!

Hey guys! I just reserved this cruise for my family yesterday. It will be me, DH, DD 7 and DS 5. We just went on our first Disney cruise at the beginning of this month: 7 night Eastern Carribbean on the Fantasy. We loved it!!!!!!! I was so excited when I found a Disney ship we could drive to and no time off of work for my DH. Anyone here been on a 2 night trip before? What is the dress code? Just cruise casual or is there a formal night? I assume this will be a Halloween sailing so costumes for kids?? Sorry for all the questions!

Never been on a short 2 day before...worried it might be a tease since it's our 7th DCL cruise but I guess we'll know how to prepare and what we want to do (like swimming/shows) Since we are Gold I was already able to register...there will be Pirate Night on Friday night(there is a show with fireworks on deck) and it's halloween time on board so yes...kiddos can dress up I believe. It's pretty casual in general and it doesnt mention any formal night...just pirate night (pirate attire if you'd like) on Friday.

This will be our first Disney cruise and I just found out about FE. We are a family of five with 11 and 9 year old girls and a son who will have just turned 5. Oh, and grandma, too! If you would be willing to organize an FE we would be interested! A smaller group may be just the thing for our first go!

We just booked as well with two other families (one new to DCL). This will just be a couples cruise date weekend for our three families - leaving our large families and special needs kiddos at home this time. We did the 2 day in May, and Alaska in June, just have to use up the DVC points before they expire as we missed the deadline to bank them for next year's use. 2 Day cruise in May was a blast (that's one of the reason's we are doing it again)! See you all in a couple of months!

Are your kids planning on going into the clubs? My 8 year old daughter is worried about being in there by herself now that my son will be 13 and not allowed in them. I'm also not sure he wants to do the Edge...such a hard age because 11-12 can do clubs or edge and 14 + are in Vibe but 13 year olds are stuck in only edge as option...
