Disney Wonder - October 14, 2012 - Hawaii

thanks kmitchel

if we want to do this i have dvc points.. so ..let me know.. i would love to see Aulani.

liesbeth1012 - the Arizona and Pearl Harbor are easy to get to on a public bus..Although I would think that there will be tour bus at the port . Either way, the objective is to have lots of time to view everything and not be rushed. The website is http://www.nps.gov/valr/index.htm
Also, I wanna look at Hojo's for a room to..

Lynne was getting a bus together to take several of us to the port.. Wonder if she is still doing that or if we need to use Super Shuttle??

What is the candy exchange? I am interested in the FE but we have a GTY room. I know crazy question, but do we have to have a passport? We are getting our just to be on the safe side, but i wondered?
I have 3 more payments to make and our cruise is paid off :woohoo:

Flights are booked staying on property Fri and Sat plan on doing mnsshp Fri and DCA on Sat. :yay: Waiting for April cruise to update likes and dislikes for excursions.:surfweb: Have a few in mind though. Have to book ground transportation (hotel, port, airport) :surfweb: reviewing options. Have never used facebook so hoping that info is updated here.

I think so, we do stop in Mexico for a few hours..call DCL and ask..I am bringing mine.

Hey Guys! I'm on the April Hawaii cruise and I thought I would pass along some transportation information we are using in Oahu. Several of us booked a room at Aulani using DVC points (or cash) so we could hang out at the resort all day. We found this company to take us to the resort (since we have such a large group).

You are welcome to contact Auntie at VIP Transportation. Her email is auntiealoha@viptrans.com. They gave us a great rate and have been very responsive!

Have fun in October! I'm sure you guys will be watching our thread to see how April goes! :)

Thanks for the info.. can't wait till you guys get back and post reports.. I think we are excited to see what is good and what we really should do.. Have a blast!!

I was alos looking to excursions of the DCL of Pearl Harbor and Arizona. But I think Lynne said you can do this on your own. I will wait an see what's going up.
Lynne has made some suggestions on Facebook and here. But I will wait for the April one to see what they did.

And we have made our flight reservations and hotel in LA. We fly on oct 6 and spent 2,5 day in LA and then we go in the direction of Disneyland. There we must find a hotel. (the offer of the HOJO is no longer available)
We will there from wednesday till sunday, when we leave with the Wonder.
So I would love to have a pre cruise meet.

And now I have to think of my FE gifts. I did FE on the WBTA and I loved it.

I think a pre-cruise meet would be great on Saturday. There's a couple places I have in mind that would be good meeting places at the park.

what are you thinking.
I was planning on DCA most of Saturday..carsland in specific..
but a meet at GHIRADELLI at DCA would be fun..

Hi. My husband & I will be on this cruise as well, we are 53 & 54 yrs old. This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but we have sailed many times with Royal & Celebrity. We are using DVC points.

There are several places in Disneyland that are pretty big areas to meet. I can't think of the names right now. Going to Disneyland next month so I'll let you know. I'm always up for Ghiradelli. We're staying at the Sunrise Hotel 2 blocks from the ship. Can park our car for a lot less than the port parking. Can't check in till 4pm.So was going to spend some time at the parks. DH isn't a big fan of the parks. I usually go once or twice a month with co-workers. Well got to scoot to work. have a great day.Pam

Hey everyone! I'm not on the cruise with you guys but did just spend some time in Hawaii before our Disneyland and MR cruise (we got married in Hawaii:)

In case anyone is on the fence about excursions or wants photos of things that DCL does, I wrote up a little review of some of DCL's excursions that we did on our own while there. It is post 34 on page 3 here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2877757&page=3

Hope it helps some of you! Enjoy your cruise:)

Can the April cruisers hurry up and leave already so they can come back and tell us how it was??? :yay::yay::yay:

:thumbsup2

Thank you but we will not be doing the FE exchange. I requested a sign up for the FB group, have not had a reply as of yet.

We have a few cruises that we will be figuring out all of our tours etc , plan to do that tonight, so i will post some info hopefully tomorrow. We cruise quite a bit and we normally do not do the ship excursions.

I am looking forward to the sea days, will find a quieter area and relax & knit. Are there any other knitters that will be on board?

Disney does have Bingo which is as close to gambling as Disney gets. Only played once as there always seems to be something else we want to do on the ship.
