My disney cruise app updated today. It now has a group chat function. If anyone is interested in being linked to the group on board can let me know, and I will start a list of names and cabin numbers.
I am out right now (heading to the Disney outlet ), but when I get home, I will work on getting a PM out.

I am assuming so since you can't actually access all of its applications and fun until on board. I am hoping if I have a list, I will be able to quickly add everyone wanting to join in to one group. And everyone that joins will have a list to be able to identify who's who from the board.

Wow, everyone was extremely active last night. Between heading to bed, and getting on the computer this morning, my inbox filled with DIS board notices. So, I don't know whether to think that everyone is getting super excited, or we have a group of night owls. If it is the latter, I think I know where I will be able to find y'all after dinner!

I just want to make sure that we are not leaving anyone out of anything they may want to participate in, so below is a list of things that we have sign ups for. If you would like to take part in any of these activities, and are not sure that you have already let me know, please either post on this thread to let me know which activity you want to join, or send me a PM.
- FE (a Hoping for Group 3 has been started)
- Disney Cruise App on board Chat Group
- Mixology (we still would need between 7 to 12 more adults to be able to reserve a time)
- Cabin Crawl
- Ice Cream Social (scheduled for our first day at sea - Saturday - at 1:30)
- Toddler Play Date

If there is something that you are not sure what it is, just let me know, and I would be happy to fill you in.

Welcome aboard Tammie.

The first 2 groups have closed, but at the request of another late comer, like yourself, we did create a group 3. It currently has 3 cabins, and 1 other that I am waiting for them to reach 10 posts to officially add them in. Your cabin will make 5. Y'all will be half way to a full group.
I will send you the PM about what I need to add you on in just a bit.
The post just before yours has a list of the activities we have planned. If you are interested in joining in the fun, just let me know.

I will add you to our roll call, and can add you into the FE group 3. In order to get your cabin added, I will need to get some information for the spreadsheet. In order to do that, I will need to send you a PM. So, what I need from you is 4 more posts. That will bring your post number to 10, and will unlock you PM priviliges. Once you reach 10 posts, I will send the message with all of the info.
I also wanted to point out the activities the group is planning (you can see a list just above on post 668). If you would like to join in on any of that fun, just let me know, and I will get you added to those lists as well.
I hope to hear from you soon, so we can get you up to 10.

You are almost there, all you need to do is post 5 really quick messages. You can just say (1) Hi! (2) Working on getting to 10 (3) Almost there (4) Got it! (5) Can you send me the PM now?
And you would be set to go. Once you get up to the 10, and I can send out the PM, your group will be at 6 cabins.

Yeah! you made 10. I will get the PM out to you in just a bit.
As for the water Temps, we are watching them closely, as we have jet ski reservations. You can keep an eye on them with the Weather Chanel app. We have been in Oct., Nov., and Jan. before, and have been able to swim during each of those months. It really will depend on how warm or cold you feel is comfortable. In our town, we have a river that is 72 degrees year round. It is a little chilly at first to get into, but you adjust fairly quickly. Using that as a gauge, we have never been to Castaway when the water was below our rivers temperatures. What I am most concerned about however is the air temps and wind. If we happen to be there on a cool, windy day, getting in the water might be a little uncomfortable. Currently at 42 days out, the water temps are in the low 80's. We will see if this cold front making its way down will effect the temps by the end of next week, or early the following week.
Don't worry though, if the water is too cold on Castaway, you will still be able to swim on board.

Andrew, I just tried to send you a PM and was blocked. Can you go into your account settings and make sure you are set to except messages from other members.

Try checking settings under your profile.
To do this, double click on your screen name in the top right hand corner of this page. Then, on the left hand side of the screen under settings, click on contact details.
Now in the center of the screen you should have your message preferences. The second check box in this section says " accept conversations from..." Make sure that says 'members only'.

Looks like the settings are right - maybe it takes a little bit of time for DISBoards to register the post count and allow conversations? I'm not seeing a way to send you a PM, so that'd be my guess.

My only other thought is the privacy tab. However, I think that is what you were refering to orginally.
Under the Privacy tab, do you have Start Conversation with You set to Members only?

While waiting, I will continue searching.
