I was just reading on the main Disboard page about holiday decorations. It is posted on there that on the November 11 cruise to Mexico last year the ship was fully decorated for Christmas. I am so excited about this! I can't wait to see the ship all decked out. That will really make the cruise all that more magical!

I think we've decided on doing the Paradise Beach excursion instead of Las Caletas. My son thought the swimming pool area looked like a lot of fun and wants to go there. I also think we'll do the coastal highlights excursion for one of the days in Cabo.

Haha, it's insane the amount of time I've spent reading and planning for this cruise!

After your first cruise, you became a Silver Castaway Club member. One of the benefits is that you may check-in earlier than non-members.

We got our FE in the mail today!! So excited!! Just wondering if there will be a deadline to sign up for the FE. I've seen that done on other threads. It's no big deal for us, just curious. Also would be interested in attending a "meet and greet" if the group decides to have one. I know it's way early for these ideas. I'm just so excited!!

I was on the Thanksgiving cruise last year and the ship was mostly decorated when we boarded. --The tree was up, and lots of bunting. We did notice that we found something new each day. In fact, we made a game out of seeing who could spot the newest decoration. Before Thanksgiving the characters were in their usual clothing, on Thanksgiving Mickey & Minnie were pilgrims and on Friday the characters were dressed for the holidays. The background music changed to holiday songs, on Friday, as well.

So the decorating must have been started during the cruise before. I called DCL today and learned that 11/8 is the tentative date for decorations. The CM wasn't sure if meant it was the start date or the finish date. In either case, sounds like we'll have, at least a little Chistmas on our cruise (I can just hear Auntie Mame; "yes, we need a little Chistmas, right this very minute...).

I don't know about you or any other first timers with DCL but I'm just itching to do my online check in and booking things. I can't wait for 9 PM Pacific time on Monday night. (Midnight Eastern time) !!!
