Thank you for the warm welcome! My girls and I are so excited to be cruising with Disney! Hubs not so much! He has to get used to the idea of bad/no internet and phone! (We own an HVAC business and he is always on the phone! LOL!) We are worknig on him!

I hope we are not too late to sign up for FE! This would be so fun for my DD9 I told her about it and we have already found a few things to bring!

I will be watching the boards for more info on excursions, meet ups etc..

You're not too late for the FE sign up. Our cut off date is 10/1. Bulldog42 is in charge of that. I'm sure he will update the list soon

As for a meet up, it was suggested that we meet at the Prominade Lounge at 3 PM

If you read the previous couple of pages on this thread, a couple of people have mentioned what excursions and so on that they have booked

Is anyone planning on adding in a day or two at Disneyland before the cruise? We are flying in on Friday night and planning on spending Saturday at Disneyland/California Adventure. We haven't seen Cars Land yet, so are happy to spend the day there and to also see the parks all decorated for Christmas. Haunted Mansion at Halloween/Christmastime is my favorite!

I thought about doing that but DW said we would be gone from home too long if we did. Now she has changed her mind but I already booked our flight. I'm still trying to come up with a way to come in on Friday

Well, Friday didn't work out but we will be there around noon on Saturday so we can play for most of the day!

I'm Linda and I'm on the November 18th MR cruise. I've been reading on the main boards about people who are going on the Fantasy 10/20 and calling Disney and getting paid upgrades for ridiculous pricing, 8d to 6b GTY for $189 a room, or a 8c to 7a for $24.00.

I'm wondering if anyone on this cruise has called and tried to get a paid upgrade. Our cruise has not come out with a VGT rate yet. Has anyone seen or tried anything similar to what this post is talking about

Obviously, if they come out with these discounts for our cruise, I'll jump on it. We are 11a right now and are hoping to upgrade at port but if we can do it cheaply earlier, then good!

I've also seen the posts you've referred to. I haven't called to see what upgrades are going for on our cruise. Anyone else? Sorry that's not helpful.

From what I've read and researched, it's supposed to be warm enough for shorts during the day and nice in the evening. It was suggested to bring a sweater or sweatshirt for evenings as the dining rooms and theater can get chilly HTH

Good question Ptwolfman! I was wondering the same thing! We would def. welcome any small alcohol gifts ( me more than Hubby but I will drink his! LOL!). My girls and I have been looking for good little treats for everyone!

That is a great question. I personally would welcome any extra pixie dust my way considering that we are not only bringing my in-laws but they somehow got their room changed to directly across the hall from us.
You bet I will have a stock pile of wine if anybody needs it

This cruise on the Disney Wonder will be our first experience with Disney cruises. We have been on many cruises with Princess, Carnival, RCCL, and Celebrity. I will take some time later to read this thread from the beginning and will hopefully pick up some good tips!! Any advice is welcome! My hubby Jim and I live in Hemet, CA, so we will be driving to the port. We will be cruising without kids, just the two of us. We booked a category VGT, so have no idea where we will end up for our cabin. Not sure what "FE" means, but can you let me know if there will be some sort of meet & greet?

The meet & greet is in the Prominade Lounge at 3:00 PM.
FE is a gift exchange. There's a lot of info about it on DIS. You can also google it.

If you decide to participate, you'll need to post your names and cabin number. Since you're VGT that is what you will put down

56 days! I just found this board - I've been lurking on Cruise Critic and it's pretty dead for DCL. I had used it in the past but we took our first Disney in January and LOVED it so we booked another one.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to book during this cruise... is it true that you can book a cruise while on the ship and then switch to a different sailing and still get the 10% off?? I saw something about that quickly reading over the boards here.

Hi Beth

Yes it is true. Also if you use a TA who gives an OBC you can list them on your "dummy" cruise and get the OBC. I think Disney also adds an OBC if you book while on the cruise. Welcome to the thread. HTH
