Disney Wonder Mexican Riviera - December 4th 2011

For my FE gifts I need the first name of everyone in your cabin. Please please make sure you get them on the FE list. Also my gifts will be for everyone on our meet so for those of you not doing FE would you please give those names so we have them.

Thank you so much! I do not want to leave anyone out! Not even the youngest.

Not much longer.....:banana::banana::banana:

Our group has expanded we now have 3 rooms that want to take part in the FE
Disneynut764- Cindy, Dee, Denise
#2- Pam, Karen
#3- CAthy, Sheila

We are all GTY so no room number yet and we are all adults.

Just wanted to say hi. We were on the TransAtlantic together. I don't think we met.
Looking forward to meeting you this time!

The cut off for the FE will be October 15th, unless anyone thinks it should be only one month out, in which case I have no problem moving it to November 4th. I am still missig names for several people, and i know that some people are personalizing FE gifts, and they would appreciate names for everyone in your party. Please verify that the information on the FE/roll call lists are correct--I am human and tend to make errors.

A Disboards meet has been planned for about 15 minutes prior to the sail away party on the deck above the pool---how about Starboard side. Please let me know if this does not work for you and your family. If it does work--we'll see you there!

I have created a few images for the cruise, with the help of some Disgners blank images (that I found on google, so I'm not sure exactly who created them, but I am extremely grateful for their graphic designs ability!). They are currently saved as JPEGs on my computer, but I am not sure how to include them in a post. If someone would so kind as to instruct me on how to do that, I will upload them today! Thank you!

Just over 50 days until we cruise!!!! :cool1:

I need names of last names of people in cabins. If you could send me a private message that would be great, Thanks Cindy

Hi,
Is anyone heading down a couple days early? We are arriving on the 2nd and will spend the 3rd at Disneyland. This is my husband and children's first time there. We are staying at the Grand Californian for 2 nights before the cruise.
We are all getting very excited now!
Kim

Also we will do the Storyteller Cafe's character breakfast and probably eat at Rainforest Cafe the first night we get in....are these good places? Any input would be great!

I would tend not to eat at rainforest, just because it is not disney-specific and we have them in malls, but if you dont have one where you are from, it is fun for the kids. I like to eat inside the park at cafe orleans for sit down and bengal bbq for counter, or plaza inn for fried chicken. Storytellers is good, have not been for character breakfast yet, though. We have been to goofys kitchen. I love the grand californian!

Thank you for your reply. Is Goofy's kitchen fun?? I don't have definite plans yet so I can change whatever. We do not have a Rainforest Cafe anywhere remotely close to us, Im not even sure they have them in Canada. I think my kids will enjoy it, the atmosphere seems fun for a casual family dinner. Is there a lot to see in Downtown Disney that will occupy us for a couple hours in the evening?
Thank you for your help.
Kim

Hi, Kim, I've not eaten at Goofy's so can't help you there. We usually eat at Blue Bayou for atmosphere but it's closed when we go in November so we are trying Cafe Orleans. I have heard great things about it so we will try it.

As far as Rainforest, you do not have them in Canada. It is consistently good food and fun for the kids (of all ages). We don't eat there often but we are eating there on Dec 3rd because we are meeting friends who will not be going into the park.

Enjoy wherever you eat!

Judy

PS I'm at WDW now, if anyone is here we could meet up.:banana::banana:

Hmm... I can't send a PM until I've posted at least 10 times. Well, that doesn't sound too hard. :)

I like goofys kitchen. We've done the character breakfast. As for dtd, you could kill some time there. :) there are street performers, and of course the shops. Walk around the dlh, too.

The easiest way (and the way most do it) is to open a photobucket account. Go to www(dot)photobucket(dot)com (replace "(dot)" with ".") and sign up. It's free. Once you've uploaded the photos there, each photo has URL (link code) associated with it. You get this code by hovering your mouse over the image, click on the yellow box next to "IMG Code", then pasting it into a message here by right clicking and picking "paste".

I can't post images (or links) yet, as I need 10 posts to do it. Otherwise I'd show an example.

So apparently we aren't going to get our room # until we check in on sail day?

We arrive Saturday the 3rd around noon, and we are planning to do DL that day. We are staying at the DL Hotel, and our only plans are Blue Bayou for dinner at 5:00, thankfully they are finished with the refurb at the end of Nov, so it will be open when we arrive! Our only other plans are to view the World of Colors, visit Build a Bear in DTD (I want to get a mickey mouse bear), and to have fun in the parks.

I have eaten at a few Rainforest Cafes and they are nice family restaurants. They are from the Houston, TX area originally, and they are fun for all ages. The thunderstorms can be a little scary for some little ones. I have not eaten at any of the other restuarants, so I can't help you there.

Cryssi--any GTY assignments that we've had in the past have been given out about 30 days before the cruise.

Any room changes can be given to me (Just put them in my FE, hang them by my fish, or slip them under my door) and I will post it on my door so that everyone will know. You can also slip a little note on your FE so that anyone passing it while handing out FE gifts will see the change. I am going to try and take a dry erase board to put on my door--if only i can find it...I'm not sure where it ended up on the move up to AK.

DH had messaged me today saying that he didn't think we would be able to do the FE since we weren't going to get our room until the day we sailed. Is that typically what they say, but then they hand out rooms beforehand?

You are more than welcome to do the FE no matter when you getyour room assign, ent. There are a lot of GTY folks, so it is no big deal. Theymight be waiting until you get to port, but i can only speak fron our personal experience. When we were gty we got our room before we left for the cruise.
