I have done this cruise on Princess and Carnival about 15 times and I can tell you the excursions are pretty much the same. My neighbor did the DCL cruise in 2008 when it was on the west coast and she gave me all of her Navigators and in my review I found that they are the same ones offered by Princess, Carnival, RCI.

Did everyone see this thread? It has pdf's of all the Navigators from one of the MR cruises DCL did in 2008.

I LOVE the idea of giving it to them for Christmas!! I am a BIG supporter of NOT keeping secrets and letting the kids anticipate the vacation. But, if we waited until Christmas there would still be over 3 months to plan. Would that be enough time to get passports, or should I concoct a story to get them before?

Upon some research I don't know that you have to get passports, unless you want to get them, since this is a closed loop cruise. I'm going to double check that info though.

If we do get passports, I was going to concoct a story so there would be no sweating it out because they were delayed for some weird reason. If you come up with a good one, let me know and vice versa.

I saw on the 3/13 meet group that someone put a facebook page for that specific cruise as a place for the families and kids to get to know each other. Maybe we could do that. If anyone is interested, please post and my dh can help me figure out how to set one up.

I know it would be cool if my kids new some kids their ages before boarding that they could hang with in the NEW TWEEN club.

Upon some research I don't know that you have to get passports, unless you want to get them, since this is a closed loop cruise. I'm going to double check that info though.

I've read that you don't HAVE to have the passport, but if anything happened while you were in Mexico and you had to fly home, there would be a problem getting back in the US.

We didn't have passports on our last two cruises but I think we'll break down and get them. With 2 cruises booked for next year, we may as well get them and makes things easy.

Besides who knows how many more cruises I may be able to convince dh that we need to go on...... At this rate, it looks very promising. Alaska, Europe???

We are on this cruise too! My DD will be 13 (almost 14) and DS will be 9 (almost 10) at the time of sailing. We're so excited! Our first Disney cruise was when the Magic came to CA in 2005...kids were 8 and 4 at the time. Since then, we've been on the Magic two more times out of Florida. It'll be fun to return to the MR and explore the Wonder this time!

My DD, Courtney, will be 14 on our cruise. She is a very friendly girl and will be anxious to hang out with everyone. My DS, Riley, will be 9. He will be so excited when he finds out we are going.

This is their Christmas present. It's hard to keep this a secret. I kept the last DCL cruise a secret until one week before we left. That was tough!

This is going to be a Christmas present for our family too...and our kids are about the same age! It's a secret for my kids AND my husband until Christmas!

If anyone is interested in Fish Extenders please PM Cindi aka Ethanash1 as she is coordinating the FE group. I am with you on this one Susan. My DH thinks I am past crazy with all my excitment over this cruise. I love Disney and I have been to Disneyland so many times over the years that I lost count. We live only 7 hours away with traffic and could get there in 5 hours if we are lucky. I have been to WDW too and was just at Epcot a week ago.

My daughter and our group think I am too much and have been calling me Julie (love boat cruise director). With as many cruises as I have been on they cannot figure out while I am so excited this early, but why not I will be sailing with the love of my life Mickey Mouse. They all know of my love for the Mouse.

I too am very excited for this cruise! I am planning on telling the girls at Christmas--I bought a sailor mickey last year from Macy's so I will wrap him up with the cruise line dvd. Anyone else have ideas for telling the kids?

I think we will be getting passports. My plan is to tell dds that we have to get them now because the prices for passports are going up. I am such a bargain shopper that that will not phase them.

Are the ages on the list time time of the cruise or now? Because mine will both be a year older during the cruise.

Can't wait!
