SAFD: As an alternative to everyone with Princess feet, I have Hobbit feet. Nothing really fits my feet, so everything fits my feet (except Nike, although they lure me in for disappointment with a nice colorway every couple of years). I’ve worn ASICS Gel-Noosa for a long time because of the colorways and them somehow, shockingly, working well for my feet. A couple of the versions were not up my alley, but there are usually 2-3 years of Noosa available at any given time. I’ve got a few pairs of Brooks and New Balance that are in the rotation, as I think it is helpful to mix things up.
I will readily admit that aesthetics are my priority #1. I’d cut my own feet off if they were ever trapped by some nefarious villain in Nike Monarchs. The more color, the better. The brighter/neon-er the colors, the better. The more gaudy and audacious the pattern, the better. These are loose guidelines and it’s a “know it when I see it” situation. All that being said, I won’t force my feet into shoes that clearly don’t work for me.
