Hi! I am so excited for our first Disney cruise!! My mom and I are taking my daughters; ages 9 and 11. We had originally booked for the cruise leaving on April 3rd but once they announced the kids sail free, we decided to change.

We are trying to keep the cruise a secret from the kids and surprise them with it as part of their Christmas presents. I don't know if my mom and I can keep the secret that long though!

I am going to wrap a Disney gift card and a countdown calendar for their Christmas present. My son is huge on "How many days until we leave?" He'll drive me nuts. He will get so excited when he finds out. That boy loves the Disney Cruise.

I think it would be fun to surprise the kids, but there is no way I would be able to keep this a secret! It's pretty much all I talk about.

It is so hard to keep this a secret. All my friends and family know and just today I caught myself talking about the trip and had to quickly change the conversation because my DD was there.

I didn't know you could do that!?! I figured with the full boat, there weren't any rooms to pick. Oh, Lord, I'm never going to get my work done if I start doing that!

I booked online at with Disney cruiseline and when I pull up my reservation I can see which cabins have become available in my category. I changed again today...to one of the side-ways rooms.

Good luck keeping it a secret. The only cuise secret I was able to keep was telling my husband I book cruise for his birthday last year but the bad news was it was an interior cabin and it would only be me and him. However when we got to the ship we went to our cabin and walked in to find his kids and that it was a balcany suite. It first response was whos's cabin are we in. He could not believe we had a suite. What a nut. When I book this cruise I told world!
