Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Dh said yes!! So now we've got to decide between cat 10, already have a room number #1073 or go with my other room on hold which is cat 9C gty. Dh says go for the porthole. I guess we will end up with a room on deck 2 or maybe get upgraded :cool1:

I've got until Thurs to decide which room. Any advice for me?

I also got 2nd seating. I'm not to upset about that. We've done main seating for our first 2 cruises and we did always feel rushed to get back and get ready. Maybe 2nd seating would be nice for a change :confused3

I just booked this cruise moments ago because of the Kids Sail Free, and I am so excited.

DH has to work so the cruise will be me, DS(13), DS(who will turn 10 the day before we set sail) and my sister.

We are on Spring Break this week, and we will be coming in from Arkansas.

I am just thrilled Disney offered this promotion. It was just too good to pass up.

I have been on every deck, front, back, middle, and I have never experienced a bad room. If I don't have a balcony, I chose and interior room, as we are never in the room and sometimes the room gets hot if you leave the curtain open during the day. The last time we had a window cabin we never opened up the curtain one time so from that time on we did either balcony or interior. We have 28 friends (including children) going on this cruise and two of them book yesterday and got the Veranda and the Navigator cabins with kid cruise free. Great Deal!.

Well, looks like me, DW, DD 11, and DD 9 will be joining.

This was totally unexpected, literally 5 days ago we booked the Norwegian EPIC for the Oct 16th Western Caribbean Cruise. Then I saw this offer and I couldn't pass it up, so now we have two cruises booked :cool1: Now I just have to tell DW about this one :lmao:

This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but our first on the Wonder :goodvibes

We are in and officially booked. Now to change my ticker--had a cruise on the dream, but the dream can wait since this will be our first cruise!!!!!

Me, Dh, DD (10 at time of cruise), DD (7 at time of cruise)

For us price always wins out - on our last cruise I booked a gty cat 12 adn we were upgraded to a cat 9 on deck 1 with the 2 smaller portholes. The portholes are a very nice addition, but DH always says "no" to paying more to have them. On this cruise it would have been close to $500.00 more to for the cat 9 than the cat 11 - that's 2 days worth of excursions for us, so we are in an inside.

We did late seating on our last cruise for the first time and we LOVED it. Our youngest was 11. If I had younger children, I don't think it would as nice. I am concerned though that we are coming from the East Coast so we will already be 3 hours ahead of time, so the 8pm seating will actually be 11pm our time - I don't how fast we can adapt to the time change :scared1: I'm hoping that I can stay up :upsidedow

For those of you who have children in the 10-12 age group, please let me know if your child would like to correspond with my DD via email or facebook. My DD just turned 12 and will be entering 7th grade in the fall. She is very quiet and shy and would love to make some new friends and get to know them before we board. We did this last year and it worked out great - the girls meet in the terminal and had a blast throughout the cruise.

My email address is dthogue5@verizon.net. Send me your child's info and my DD can contact them.

Tammy we have four girls 11-12 that will be on the cruise. Amanda will be 11 and she is a sweetheart. Amanda loves everyone and is always creating new friendships and is the type of girl who never leaves anyone out. Rena is also a sweety and will have just turned 12 prior to the cruise. I will send you Amanda and Rena' information.

I keep reading about naming the cruise meet group and creating a logo. What do you all think? And anyone good at creating logos? Wish I was a graphic artist.

I happened to see one person who had 3 different cruises they were going on and a logo for each. Very cool. Yes, I'm a bit jealous ;)

Hi Tammy!

My oldest dd Makenna will be turning 11 in october and is always wanting to make friends since her little sisters (3 & 5 years) are so much younger. She also has a FB page so I will email you!

That makes 5 DIS girls in my oldest dd's age group! She will be thrilled. I am really hoping the Wonder gets some sort of tween program for these girls but Makenna is so excited about our 1st cruise, I don't think it will even matter :)

My friend, who is going on the same cruise btw, and I came up with an idea for the name: Dis Amigos Fiesta Cruise.

Want to find Mickey with a sombrero for the logo, any ideas where to look?

We're doing late seating too. :goodvibes My youngest will be 8, but it will be three hours earlier to us, so I think it should work out great!

Try JetZone. We used it on our trip to WDW last month. It really worked great. We were coming from Hawaii, so that made it a 6-hour time difference! I picked them up at the local health food store. Didn't take any when we came home, and I hit the wall!!

What day is Makenna's birthday, Amanda's is Oct 31 a halloween baby and she will be turning 11 this year too.

cruisindisney, I love the name you selected. I have no idea where to find a Mickey with a sombrero though. I bet there is one out there somewhere.

We have late seating as well since all the early seatings were gone. I am not sure how that will work out since my kids like to eat around 5. I am sure they will snack so much though that it will be fine.

I am so excited about this trip. Does anyone know if the most recent Passporter guide book for Disney Cruise line talks about the Mexican Riviera? I am thinking about buying it but don't want to waste the money if our ports are not even listed.

I know that the 2008 Passporter book does talk about MR cruise, I believe there has only been one in the past, but it does give a little info based on what happened at that time. I'd be curious about the 2010 update--I would suspect that it doesn't have much different info since cruises aren't starting up until 2011. There aren't even any shore excursions listed on the Disney website yet.

I'm headed to Disneyland in a little less than 2 weeks, I'm going to be on the lookout for any Mexico-themed items. Maybe someone going to Epcot could check out what's available there.

She is Oct 10th. Based on your description of Amanda, I bet our girls will get along great! This is going to be so much fun!

My DD, Courtney, will be 14 on our cruise. She is a very friendly girl and will be anxious to hang out with everyone. My DS, Riley, will be 9. He will be so excited when he finds out we are going.

This is their Christmas present. It's hard to keep this a secret. I kept the last DCL cruise a secret until one week before we left. That was tough!

Suzy Q, hubby and I are bringing our 9 year old grandson, he's so exited about going. :yay:

I'm impressed you kept the other "surprise" so well. A friend of mine took her 10 and 12 year old on a trip to Disneyland and kept it a secret until they got just about to the airport. The kids thought they were going to the beach for the week when they were packing their suitcases.
