We are home from our Merrytime cruise which was fabulous.

We had a small Candy Exchange which was fun. The idea was to give local candy or treats and print something from the Internet about the offering. If you would like to join, just mention it here, and send me a conversation with your cabin, and how many are in it. If you have allergies, mention that as well.

We booked in July, but we are just now getting around to the DISboards. We are from Texas in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This will be our 6th cruise (Gold CC baby), as we are doing a Back-to-Back (B2B) cruise with this one and the cruise prior departing Miami on March 11. The March 11 departure will be our 5th cruise. We did the first DCL Transatlantic 14 day cruise on the Magic in 2007.

We would love to participate in both the FE and Candy Exchange. However, the Dallas area of Texas does not have any "special" candy. Maybe we will order some Ester Price candy from Dayton, OH (Bobbiwoz!) to bring.

We did an EBTA on the Magic in 2013 and it was fabulous! The Merrytime cruise we were on this month was our first time on the reimagined Magic and we appreciated the upgrades.

Haha regarding your Esther Price reference. Would love to be on the receiving end! On one cruise another family from SW Ohio and we gave treats made by Doscher Candy Company, the French Chews. In past exchanges, we've gotten candies made by Atkinson Candy Company in Lufkin TX. No one checks hometowns, if you have a favorite, not local, you are welcomed to share!

Bobbi - we are also DVC members. We joined DVC (BCV) in 2004. It was people like you, Doc, Dean, and the other people that have been in the DIS boards dispensing sage advice that got me into DVC. My DW gave our family Ester Price for Christmas (yes, they ship it UPS), but I'm sure it will all be gone before the cruise.

The FE spreadsheet has our cabin number in it. We may need to go "off menu" for the candy exchange if we go with the "local flair", but we will still follow the commercial / wrapped guidelines - please advise if there's anyone with any food allergies (nuts, gluten, caffeine, etc).

We made our "final" payments before Christmas, so we are looking forward to the B2B cruises. We have done B2B's in Port Canaveral, but not in Miami. We still need to make our hotel rezzies for MIA before the cruise.

I've had so much more fun in so many Disney Venues because of the Disboards. Our first Candy exchange participation was during that EBTA!

It's a short cruise but hope to meet you, perhaps while making our deliveries!

Candy Exchange list will be open for quite awhile! We use Fish extenders to give out candy or local snacks. Usually you would print out something from the Internet about the history of the snacks. I keep the numbers in each group smallish so no one gets a sugar overload. If there are allergies, please mention that!

How is the New Year going? We are retired, and are on a Princess Cruise right now. We will partially go through the Panama Canal. I understand it finally did get cold in Ohio, so we are glad to be somewhere else!

Brrr, cold in Ohio this morning!

We signed up for snorkeling in Nassau. I think that will be our only shore excursion. The snorkeling on CC is in a Zodiac and it was very hard to get back in the boat. This excursion looks better for us. I have snorkeled in Nassau, and it was good!
