Just wondering if there will be a Pirate's Night since the ship will not be going to, coming from or in the Caribbean. :confused3 Any ideas?

Also, since there will probably be alot of us go to LA a couple of days before, I'll call the Hyatt and see if we can get group rates. I'm sure we'll have enough rooms for group rates. Does anyone mind if I call or does anyone else have any ideas?

Bev

I would think that we would have a Pirate Night. The Mexican Riviera cruises have Pirate Night.

OK--still scrolling through the entire thread and saw the CG info. How do I join? I love pink and can definitely pull off a tiara and a boa!:flower3::yay::)

I'm good with that, I was planning on staying at the Long Beach Hyatt Regency anyway, so it would be nice if we could get a nice group rate.

I was going to ask when on ship in 2 weeks. I " wonder" if theyd give us some kind of group rate? What is it we need to pay for?
Could we do it on the sly on secret deck?

I could talk to my contact at DCL Special Events and see what she thinks. We could also just take over the lobby like we did for the champagne girls pictures. Depended on how many would be interested, it might not be to expensive to have it Disney given. I could ask about that too. Just wanted to see if there would be any interest before I even thought more about it. Maybe a late afternoon on formal night when we are going to get dressed up anyway? If there is interest we can think about it some more.

I'll volunteer to manage a book exchange if you all would like. It seemed to be very popular on the PC. Our room is sort of mid-ship on 6 so it might be a good place to put up a large canvas book bag people can drop off and sort through. I had about 50 books on the last day to give to guest services for the crew.

Sounds like a plan to me!:thumbsup2

You'll be very welcome to join us! The google spread sheet has a page for adding your name, I think the link is on the first page of the thread ...... And welcome! :goodvibes

That would be very nice of you! Can I be included if I'm only coming in one day before?

Hi Everyone,

So excited that we were able to book two rooms (9 and 11) on this amazing cruise! It's nice to see so many familiar faces (or at least DIS names . . . LOL). I almost fell over when you already had 30 pages on the board from just two days ago! Shouldn't be surprised though.

Oh, and let me introduce us. My name is Theresa and I'll be sailing with Ken (DH), and our two boys, Kaleb (17) and Peter (15) (ages as of cruise). We'll be celebrating Kaleb's graduation for high school (a little early, but he was cool with that). He'll have to take a few class finals early, but thought it was worth it! Only thing that might hold us back is DH's work schedule, but we won't know until January. This is our 6th Disney Cruise.

Added our name to the roll call and champagne ladies, but wasn't sure if that was the same as the wine tasting from the WPTA 2010.

This is going to be an amazing cruise . . .Looking forward to meeting more DIS friends this time around.

Theresa 8-)

Oh, boy - didn't someone a few pages back say something about having 2 teenagers? Here are a couple more!

Considering that weddings and vow renewals are big money for them, I think they would move us on very swiftly. They charge $2500 for the privilege

Corinna

Yeah - that could be trouble, certain sure. I participated in a lovely vow renewal on castaway cay that was private and not Disney, but we're not going there. :( If I think about it in Hawaii, isn't everyone probably wanting to go everywhich way on excursions and such?

Corinna, didn't you and your husband do one?

DH and I just returned from our anniversary weekend in Galena, IL. Hard to believe in one year we will be preparing the final countdown to the Hawaii Cruise!!

There is such a great group signed up here for this thread! I added myself to the Champagne Girls spreadsheet, as well.

:)

:ssst:;)
I have been on this exact tour! LOVED doing the ATVs and am wanting to do it with DH this time! :)

Our 20th is in January too! (I think it was Krisann that is thinking about the vow renewal?) and we also met in April as well. Small world!

We met ON Its a Small World ride at Disneyland.:lovestruc..yes, it is a small world. :thumbsup2

Is this sold out?
It seems some TAs might have some availability.

Hi Bev -

We are planning a couple of day at Disneyland prior to the cruise. We are DVC members and are planning on staying at the Grand Californian. It is a beautiful hotel and you can walk to the park. I am not sure about transportation to the port but I am hoping others are also planning this and we can get a group rate or something.

Dale

We hope for a room at GC as well, but have to wait until the 7 month mark. If not we will probably stay across Harbor in one of the Good Neighbor hotels

I was going to ask when on ship in 2 weeks. I " wonder" if theyd give us some kind of group rate? What is it we need to pay for?

There must be a minister among us who could officiate??? :rolleyes1

They've got a lovely atrium that no one uses late at night...what if we all just spontaneously gathered there one Sea Night?

:tiptoe::tiptoe:;)

We may be interested in the Hyatt as well. I just don't know if we will do DL before or not. I guess we have to get our act together and figure out when we will fly out and all that good stuff. I am guessing it doesn't sail out from the same port where we did on our 2005 PC cruise so I have some homework in front of me. I just remember that transportation is not like in FL!

Hello everyone, My daughter (19) and I will be going on this cruise. Paid our deposit today. I may end up adding my mother and my son (16). When I told my mom that I had booked and it was sold out she got all sad looking and said she had always wanted to go to Hawaii. We will be celebrating my daughter's graduation from beauty school on this trip, she also wants to visit Rodeo Drive prior to the cruise. I don't know if my purse can handle that as she loves to spend money. I am so excited and looking forward to this trip. I look forward to getting to meet lots of new people.:yay:

We are also undecided about Disneyland b4 the cruise as well. So we "may" be interested in a Hyatt group rate, too.

Welcome flightrn! I would sign up your mom and DS now if you might want them to go, as you may not be able to do so later on due to capacity issues.

:)

WOW! There is no way I can keep up with you lot! I was part of the regular chatty bunch on the 2010 WBTA and it took up a few hours a day, which I just don't have anymore. I will check in as regularly as I can, Sounds like it's going to be a great cruise!

Doesn't look like there's many kids, I have kids. I have 2 girls aged 8 and 10 currently, and I am 22 weeks pregnant now, so with have an 8 month old boy aswell. It was nice on the WBTA as there weren't many kids, the pools were never crowded or rowdy, and my kids spent most of their time in kids club. Fingers crossed they will again.......How many hours can I book my baby in per day? Just asking :rolleyes1

As for the FE, the smaller groups of 25ish worked fantastic, my vote would be for that. Also we were able to lock of some groups quite early so us die hard planners could start organising straight away. I did lot's of sewing for my last FE's so it took some time! :thumbsup2

I recognise so many names from the WBTA, Hello to you all :goodvibes and welcome to any newbies :)
Will check back in soon :dance3:

Wow, I am not sure what is busier, here or facebook.

Both my sister and I have done Vow renewals with Disney. One at Castaway and one on the WBTA on deck 7 aft. Personally, I loved the one on Castaway better. Just my 2 cents.

Hmmmmmmm.....DCL should offer vow renewals at the new DVC resort!

(bet they'd charge a pretty penny for that!)

.

We're going!!! We're a family of five from Myrtle Beach, SC. This will be our first sailing with DCL and what a great first sailing it will be!!! We were planning Hawaii with a stop in Disneyland for 2017 but when this announcement came out we had to go for it! We ended up booking two rooms instead one suite for our family of 5 since it was about $5000 less.
