Welcome to all those joining in! We are excited to get to know you over the next year. :dance3:

We're going!!! We're a family of five from Myrtle Beach, SC. This will be our first sailing with DCL and what a great first sailing it will be!!! We were planning Hawaii with a stop in Disneyland for 2017 but when this announcement came out we had to go for it! We ended up booking two rooms instead one suite for our family of 5 since it was about $5000 less.

WOW, what a great first cruise. Awesome! Welcome!

Welcome to all that are just checking in.

Never cruised with DCL so I have a few questions. I see cruise status, like platinum, silver, etc. Obviously it's for people who cruise a good bit but I was curious to the breakdowns and what each status means. How far ahead were you allowed to book this cruise? I think it's great that they do this. I still can't believe how fast these rooms disappeared. I feel like we won the lottery getting two of them!

Thanks! We've been on cruises before, but never DCL. We were docked beside the Wonder in Nassau once and I so wanted to swap ships! They looked like they were having so much fun.

I hope no one minds, but this has cruise has me so excited I've looked back at all our photo's from 2007 and would like to share!

This is the look you get after hiking up to see the IO Needle

This is the look you get after telling them you're only half way! LOL!

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: These 2 pics and your captions cracked me up! And totally make me NOT feel as guilty about not taking my own son on this cruise because this is TOTALLY the reaction I'd get from him! :rotfl2: I was struggling with the guilt today, so THANK YOU for posting these and making me laugh! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Welcome. We are Bob & Val. We live in San Francisco and are really thrilled to be going on this cruise and meeting old and new friends.
DCL has the Castaway Club for past cruisers. After one cruise you are silver, after completing 5, gold and after 10, Platinum. There is info on the DCL site regarding the benefits. For this cruise gold and platinum could book one day earlier.

Just wondering if there will be a Pirate's Night since the ship will not be going to, coming from or in the Caribbean. :confused3 Any ideas?

Also, since there will probably be alot of us go to LA a couple of days before, I'll call the Hyatt and see if we can get group rates. I'm sure we'll have enough rooms for group rates. Does anyone mind if I call or does anyone else have any ideas?

Bev

I know parts of the new movie were filmed in Hawaii

Just wanted chime in. To my fellow PC cruisers this year who wanted pins you will aprecate this, and to all I encourage you to do the same. I sent a email to DCL asking if they do pins made just for this cruise to use the RSP process so we don't have to spend hours infront of the store waiting.

:thumbsup2
I really dont want a repeat scenario. Sure hope they learned and are responsive to suggestion. Thanks Alan!

We would be difinately interested in a vow renewel in Hawaii. - 45 years. -

Scavenger hunt is a lot of fun. We did it on the PC. I would recommend doing it in groups of 4-pics

Tony and I will be on your TEAM:cheer2: and we will be at the vow renewal:yay:

Good to hear another good report of the Hyatt, thanks :thumbsup2

Maybe we should organise a pre-cruise meet! :goodvibes

We will stay at a Hilton property as we are collect those points.

Pre cruise meet sounds FUN.

UK cruisers---DH and I going to London for first time. What should I not miss??? Going to be there six days before flying to Barcelona for WBTA. I love long cruises. :yay::yay:

it sounds like there is some interest in some kind of group vow renewal. As I said before, this was only a half baked idea that I hadn't really thought out or explored. Maybe if there are a number of you interested we could form a committee and discuss it via PM, do some investigating and then report back. Are there any of you interested in taking this off-line and doing a little R&D?

We're Tammy, Sidney, Christian, Nikki, and Caison. Nice to meet you.

That's nice of them to take care of people who sail all the time with them. I will go to the website and start reading up on those kinds of things too. I've been researching things to do in Hawaii the past 3-4 hours. I'm going to be an expert on Hawaii by the time this cruise rolls around. ;)

We are Sandy and Tony from California.

Just came to sign in. We booked on the gold/platinum day but haven't had a chance to check the thread. It's so busy already! I'm Lauren, DH is James, and DD is Lorelei who will be 2.5 yo at sailing. Right now we're busy planning our WBTA cruise but we're so excited for the Hawaii cruise :goodvibes

We watched a group vow renewal on the beach in Waikiki last year. Morning with the sunrise over Diamondhead. The couples were in a semi-circle and they had a woman doing a hula at one point (more traditional hula - very tasteful, not grass-skirt hip shaking). There was a set of children there with their parents. Brought a tear to my eye, especially when they had them stand face-to-face and touch noses.

For anybody looking, there are quite a few categories available now. I just checked and the following are showing up: 11B, 11A, 10C, 9B, 9A, 6A, 5C, 5B, 5A, 4E and 4A. I only entered 2 adults though, just to see what popped up. So if you know anybody looking, tell them to check right away! :thumbsup2
