Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

Ok, I have updated the post on page 1 with all the new info that we have so far (including new chandelier). Hopefully more things will become clear soon!

I would be very grateful if people who go on the first cruise and who are planning on posting pictures and such to please add them here or at least add a link here to the thread where they are posting them so that I can keep updating the first post here with what we find out. I am sure there will be quite a few minor things that will be seen once the ship is open to the public. I am really excited for the first reports!!

And once again a big thank you to all who have been so good at hunting down pictures online of the process and who shared their finds here!

If someone is willing to message me with an email address or phone number where I can quickly send pics or videos, I will send some from Galveston on embark day once we're on board & settled. I have used the DIS app before & find it slow & glitchy so I won't be fooling with it once on vacation. Any pics I share with you can be posted on this thread. Our PAT is 11 (the earliest they offer) so I am hoping we will be on pretty early considering they don't have to clean up behind previous cruisers since there won't be any.

Thanks for the offer - have sent you a PM :)

Thanks! But wanted to point out that there no longer is an app for the DIS. The mobile website however works quite well. But I do understand that posting pictures from a phone is tedious! Luckily there is already a volunteer as an intermediary!

In New Orleans also

The Wonder shows back up on marinetraffic.com--just southwest of Bermuda. It shows the Port Canaveral arrival date as 11/1.
According to Port Canaveral's Port Authority Cruise Ship Master schedule, the Wonder will return to PC on November 1, be in port for 2 days and depart on Nov 3rd for a 1 night "shakedown" trip, returning on Nov 5 (they have a contingency to return on Nov 4 if they encounter anything that needs immediate attention) I believe the over night trip will be to Castaway Cay and back. It will depart again Nov 5 for it's 2nd shakedown trip (again with a contingency return on Nov 6th if necessary). And returning on Nov 7, to debark those who sailed with her and then she'll depart for Galveston that day at 5pm.

Welcome home, Wonder!

LOVE everything about the new restaurant. Hopefully, the menu will be good, too! A little worried again about the buffet situation. It looks like the picture is taken from in front of the stage and looking toward the entrance with the actual entrance on the left side. No sign of a buffet. Or am I all turned around? We will know soon.
