Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

@donkthemagicllama you are a fantastic internet detective finding all those pictures!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for all those pictures. The Wonder all grey looked really interesting!

Maybe you ought to put your sleuthing skills to use for info on new itineraries as well! ;)

Is there a trick to searching on Facebook? I tried the search words that work on other social media and all I get is older pictures?

Thanks to all that are sharing what they find:)

Thanks for the photos and the link. Did anyone else notice the new railings above the upper Cove Cafe. There also looks like a new doorway entrance and staircase by the funnel. New Concierge Area?

Well spotted!

I guess you are talking about this picture:

I am wondering if this might become the Concierge sun deck?

Somehow missed this one from yesterday. The deck is still quite a mess by the looks of things. Hard to tell it’s the Wonder, but I think the flags give it away.

I’m starting to wonder if I should leave the source out so as not to draw unwanted attention to the people posting them? I’m in no way trying to claim credit for any pictures I post, they’re all dredged up from scouring the internet. If this breaks some sort of rule, let me know.

The new deck plans are up on the DCL page. The Wonder info is still the same, but the deck plans have new areas and staterooms listed.

Just saw those. Did you notice it still looks like they have a double staircase in the atrium?

I can't get to any deck plans (for any ship) on the DCL site. :sad2:

Where are you seeing that the double staircase is still there?

It does still show the double staircase, but I wouldn't read anything into that. When the Dream was reimagined the deck plans weren't completely accurate for a couple months after the ship was back in service.

Can you open this link? On both the 4th deck it shows 2 stairs going down and shows them again in 3. Although I had thought 3 could be a raised stage, but the ones on 4 match up. It also could just be they updated all the other features and forgot to update the stairs.

Yes, thank you I can see that. I'd love it if they kept the double stair, but, sadly, I'm not sure that's actually going to happen. I agree that it seems they haven't "updated" the deck plans, but who knows - maybe they are keeping both!!!!

I'm not sure they'd put a raised stage right in the middle of the atrium. There is a bit of a "stage" with the 2 or 3 step up area just before where the double staircase comes down at the door way of Triton's. That same area was used several times on our EBTA this past May (on the Magic) for pre-dinner musicians.

What day is the Wonder supposed to depart from Cadiz to head back to the U.S.? Thanks to everyone posting photos--it's so fun to watch her change from day to day. :)

I found this line on the Cruise Meets schedule
**September 9th 2016-October 23rd 2016 - Drydock/Reimagineering in Cadiz, Spain**
Not sure it's exact but it's probably a good estimation so they've still got almost three weeks in Cadiz to get stuff done.

I kinda dig the Wonder in battleship Grey. Would be great to add some spider webs and the Sanderson Sisters for Halloween on the High seas. But then go back to the normal paint job.

Scott has the same date on his blog. Then sea days Oct 24 - Nov 2 (which is another week to do stuff). Then in and out of Port Canaveral a few times (training? shakeout? final touch-up? dunno) before heading to Galveston.

I am pretty sure that whoever did the list of cruises for the Cruise Meet thread (was it @AquaDame?) just copied the list of cruises from Scott's blog. So them being the same is no indication of them being correct. I have never seen any dates being announced, Scott might just be using the length that the Magic was in Cadiz as a template to go from.

Pretty sure Scott's blog is where I saw those dates, you're correct. Usually I put together the 'opening day price lists' either using his list or the DCL pamphlet, whichever I get first. Then I just use the same dates for the meet threads.
