Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

I know this isn't a big thing, but do you think they will keep the "secret" area on deck 7? I hope they do, I would love a quiet deck to hide on for out upcoming cruise

I doubt it. That area was taken for the additional mechanics required by recent regulations for redundant emergency systems. As well as the mechanics for AquaLab (which will be on the Wonder).

Read this post on the Wonder through the Panama Canal thread, it talks about that deck:

Kinda sad. Our room for Alaska in May 2017 is being converted into a connecting room. Where will the connecting room door go? What is taken away from the room to make room for the door?

Room 7568

I'm guessing it's one of the drawer storage units. I was reading someone's post about the difference between the connecting vs. non-connecting rooms they'd had, and they had extra drawer storage in the non-connecting room.

Question, if I have looked over it I apologize. Are they doing away with the Rasul for Adults on the wonder? I do not see it on the list of spa treatments on the Magic and we are on the Wonder on 11/10/16. I pray they don't take the steam shower away!

I don't believe anything is taken away. Empty wall space just has a door instead.:)

Our room on the Magic recently (same as Wonder's layout) was an added connecting room. We still had the storage cabinet. The door was next to the drawer unit right next to the closet (blank space in the wall).

Well with the Wonder in PC getting ready to sail to Cadiz, this is one last chance to see her on webcam as she was before reimagining.
It will be sad if they change her too much IMO.

The Dream is readying to depart, I hope they have a horn battle as she passes her sister!

I am so sad they are not adding a slide to the Wonder. While I was happy they weren't doing an aqua dunk I am sad they are doing nothing. This seems like a huge miss.

Maybe I am mistaken but I was under the impression that the twist and spouts were kids only.
Well, the restriction is for height only. No shorter than 38". I asked on the Magic and, as long as the person wanting to ride falls in that height requirement they can go.

On the website, it also says "no taller than 64 inches" but, that part of the sign has been blocked (as you can see)

And finally it is here! The dry dock is starting. Yesterday the passengers of the Eastbound Panama Canal Cruise got off and she is currently in Port Canaveral where things are starting to be ripped out and stuff is being loaded on board.

Hopefully we will soon get the first more detailed news about what is happening!

On Thursday evening, around 4:30, I left the adult pool area, and used the forward elevators to go to my room on deck 1. It took an unusual amount of time for an elevator "down" arrow to appear. When I got to deck 1, I found out why........(more pictures to follow)

We got off yesterday. I will do a longer post re the PC cruise, but I can assure you the dry dock began earlier. There are a lot of unhappy guests. They shut down numerous areas by the end of the cruise to "prep". Huge mechanical issues: no AC, water pouring out of ceilings, a miserable stench. Contractors aboard taking over guest areas and drunk at night, badmouthing the crew and CMs. The general feeling of guests was at best, disappointed, and at worst, bitter.

Best part about that episode was running into an officer and asking what the problem was with the elevators and having him respond that he had no idea why they weren't working. When the officers and staff don't know what's going on (this was one of numerous incidents) there's a big problem.

I would have been very disappointed considering how many sea days there are. The contractors being drunk and speaking that way would warrant a complaint to DCL from me. For the cost of their cruises, I expect the cruises to be first rate. It sounds like the the bottom of the barrel to me.

2 more pictures from Thursday. Canvas (vinyl?) below the handrail was already gone.
