Freeprt today. Boy is this an ugly port. A lot of people stayed on board today. Ate at Triton's for breakfast. Scrambled eggs with salmon and a bagel with lox and cream cheese. Very excellent. Wait staff kept talking to my back unitl the finally figured out I could not hear them then faced me. I think they are really used to facing the man at a table that it is difficult to change habits to accommodate someone who can't hear well.
Pool again this morning. Ended up sun burnt and I am paying for it now. Ouch, itching and peeling are no fun.
Eat lunch at Beach Blanket Buffet. Asian. The sushi is terrible. The stir fry is great as are some of the noodle dishes. Flies are awful They are all over the place. Nasty. My whole impression of Freeport is nasty place.
Got my hiar braided in the afternoon. Fun. Looked cute but I took them out on Saturday night because they hurt with my glasses and hearing aids on and I was interpreting for church on Sunday so figured I should look normal for that. Plus I have to wear my hearing aids if I am interpreting.
Dinner was Animator's Palate. That is the noisiest restaurant in the entire ship. The background noise made it impossible to have a conversation except in ASL. At least we all sign
Food was good again. Only Angela and Vince are at dinner because Marvin and Theresa are off practicing for the show.
Did some more pin trading after dinner and met on of the entertainers named Rick who was also trading. Went to the show after. Marvin and Theresa interpreted. Vince sat with us but Angela went further back so she wouldn't make them nervous. Vince also served as protector so guests would not sit right in front of the area the interpreters use and block the view or get in their way. Plus the front row is not the best seats. Tonight is Hercules. Funny show. Marvin and Theresa don't look like they are working at all. Just having fun. I can't believe that it is only Theresa's second time doing the show. WOW. This cast also teased Marvin by throwing so extra in to see how he reacts.
He takes it in stride. After the show I go shopping and buy some pins and a small globe. I am waiting on the large on until tomorrow. Leticia is putting it aside for me. I get the mini-globe with the ship in it.
Finished with that I head for the internet cafe to check mail. This afternoon I revamped my Tupperware website so I wanted to see what hits I had. Lots of mail including an email letting me know the teacher on my Voice to Sign class has been changed! YES! I prefer the new teacher. She is a NAD5 certified interpreter. Topnotch! Best I can have and the includes our program director.
Then off to bed.
