Hello.

Looking for some advice. We just booked another trip to the world. SIL is running in the Princess Marathon on 3/8/09. FIL reserved a room at the Orange Lakes (off property). Since we still have a few days left on our non-expiration tickets, we decided to take the trip. Our little girl will be 8 months old when we go. She's generally in a pleasant mood. We're hoping that we have an easy time.

My questions....what kind of clothing does she need in early March. It is cold where we live and her 6-9 months outfits are all winter. I'll need to get (or borrow) some clothes for her to wear there. Also, what rides can I take her on?

Thanks!
Leslie

I'm so glad you posted this! My son will also be 8 months when we go in March...I'll be very interested to see what people say in response to your questions!

You can take these lil ones on any ride without a height requirement, but I suggest not taking them on Ellen's Energy Adventure because it's really loud! Allearsnet.com has a great list for what the height requirements are. My DS 3 months old rode several rides when we were there in May. Also look in to Parent Swapping on rides that they cannot ride to make it easier for long lines. As for the weather, I think it's around 78-85 in this season, but others will know better. I'd take a sweatsuit or two and then take more spring clothing. I found that onesies were really the best for my DS because of comfort for him during the day. Also, each park has really nice baby centers you should look for on the maps. They came in handy for us each day as we would use them to get out of the sun, for feeding, for changing, for a short break. In case you don't know where they're located, EPCOTs is located on the walkway between Future World and World Showcase by on the Mexico side. MK's is located near Crystal Palace, almost behind it, DHS is right up front in the park to the left as you enter, and Animal Kingdom's is off to the left right before the safari (I think.) I only used it once so someone would have to correct me here.

My dd is going to be 5 months old next week and we have taken her to WDW 3 times already!!! (We are DVC members and have family that lives 45 mins away, so they were short 2-3 day trips!) We took her on Winne the Pooh, It's a small world, TTA, Nemo, Figment, Spaceship Earth. She loved watching the spectromagic parade and loved meeting some of the charcters! She actually reached out and hugged pooh!!
As for weather, it can be hot or it can be cold. It was 47 yesterday morning when we left, but was 70 the day before. I brought some short sleeve onesizes, and long sleeve. You can just layer up and then take off jackets and layers if it gets warmer. It will get chilly when the sun goes down though.
They baby centers are great, makes changes easy!

Let me know if you have any other questions!
