Me (26) single-mom to
Catherine (2 1/2 yo DD , 3yo in April) WDW 1st timer who cannot wait to kiss Pooh and Mickey on the nose.
Possible Guest Spots by
Kym (31) terrific friend from Tampa
Madison & Maislyn (2 1/2 twins, 3yo in March) wild crazy girlies that are too cute for words (not as cute as Cat though)
They are hoping to spend a day at WDW with us. 2 moms 3 2 1/2 yr olds, we're in trouble.
Pretrip report:
I grew up in Central Fl, a whole 30 minutes from WDW. From age 2 - 18, I cannot count how many times I went to Disney. I have not been since we moved to NC in 1995. I always thought I'd take my daughter to WDW, but never really got excited about it since she's still so young. A friend of mine from IN took her family which consists of a DD my DD's age. After hearing what a magical time they had... I got the itch. And thanks to the DIS I found ways to save money and make this trip a reality.
In taking Cat at this age, she's free. So that helped the budget. But watching her with Christmas, helped me realize what a perfect age she is for this. This trip is her Christmas / 3yo birthday present! Leading up to this trip she keeps saying "we're going to see mickey, I'll kiss him on the nose" same with Pooh, so cute! I cannot wait to take her on the Pooh ride, it's a Small World.. all of it! Experiencing WDW as a kid is one thing.. through a kid, I cannot wait!
Lastly, this trip is so important because its our FIRST JUST US trip. We have traveled together a lot, and alone, but never had an alone vacation. Flown to see my grandparents, flown to see friends, driven to a wedding in PA, etc. But we have never done a complete end-to-end just us vacation. My mom wants to take her one day. I told her this is my turn. You can take her next time. (I am already planning that one too.. Dec 2006)
I hope you all enjoy my reports. This is a definate WDW with a toddler story. This toddler is the best, so I hope it all comes out good. I'll have my laptop with me and try to write them as we go, and post them when we return.
Next story: The 10 hr drive, and arrival at Pop Century. Will we visit EVERY rest area between NC and FL? Probably. .. .gotta love a potty trained toddler! LOL
