We stayed Poly when we took DS at 7 mos. The size of the room was nice size we had the crib. Being on the monorail helped too. We are staying AKL next trip when DS will be 17 mos. We were thinking he may be entertained by being able to go see the animals when we are at the resort.

I have never stayed with DS in any moderates so can’t give you an experience with that. The only thing I know is Coronado reno looks nice, but we wanted a king bed to have more space for a crib. But, new reno doesn’t have tubs in king rooms just showers.

We took our 14 month old last year. Had a great trip. Just keep in mind if it's just two adults and one infant, there will be rides you need to ride alone while someone watches the infant. Or you would need to skip those rides.
Can you offer any advice specific to taking a 14 month old? We took DS at 7 mos & our next trip will be when he is 14 mos. Not sure what differences to expect. At 7 mos, we followed his reg schedule, took it slow & paid attention to his cues. Plan to do the same this time. We will have other adults on the trip with us. Did yours like characters? Did you fly? What month did you go & for how long? DS liked characters at 7 mos but unsure what to expect this time.

We went with my DS 16 months and he loved it! Knew who ‘Icky!’ Was at the time and loved him! Loved all the characters!! Loved fireworks too!! We drove and he was amazing!! Fell asleep when needed. DH and I took turns going on rides with DD while he napped. We went for two weeks at the time. Good luck with everything!

Just remember not all babies are as easy as the lucky people here seem to have. When mine were under three they never fell asleep in the stroller, were scared of loud noises like fire works and had a hard time sleeping in a strange crib that was smaller than theirs at home. Not to be negative but realize things may not all be picture perfect and do what makes the baby comfortable. There will be precious memories but not every thing will go as planned. Be prepared to handle the ups and downs.

Thank you! How long was your drive? We are debating that too. He did fine when we drove when he was 7 mos, but he is way more active now so I’m not sure how to entertain him for a 10 hour drive.

We have a 16 hour ride! We can get it down to 14 with no traffic and really quick stops! There are so many things you can do for the kids! For example, we buy the kids a little something to open with every new state we go through! (Something they can play with) We bring DVD players, their tablets, coloring books, some toys they like to play with, lots of snacks, anything you can think of! Thankfully, my kids have been great. Good luck to you!!

I second this. Last year my youngest DS was 20 months. He refused to ride in the stroller at all. Much less nap in one. So DH carried him on this shoulders most of the day.
We stayed at CBR. The larger bed was nice in contrast to the full size of a value because being so out of sorts did not want to stay in the pack n play and we all ended up getting a better nights rest with him in bed with one of us. I do have to say the CBR was super spread out so running to get supplies was a entire to-do, however DS LOVED the pool. I liked to quieter pools and grounds over all as a way to calm down after being in the VERY busy parks. DH liked the resort as well.
My biggest suggestion is you know you little best so do what you can do to set them up for success. For example, my group is a morning group. So all activities we planned in the morning. Around 1 we went back to the resort for "quiet time" and then would go out to dinner later in the evening. We didn't even try fireworks, because I knew it would just be too stimulating for my DS at that point. Good luck! You will have a great time regardless, just have a plan B for things in case the day in more unpredictable.
