~Disney Western is going to Galveston~

Update just called in from the ship:

The Disney Western Cruise that was supposed to dock at Port Canaveral on Saturday is now waiting out the storm at Galveston Texas. I'm told they are not going to disembark, just wait out the storm there.

For those of you with family or friends on the ship, they are fine. And yes, they are still charging $6.75 a minute for phone calls, if you were wondering why you're not getting a call...

It looks like I'll be picking my family up from the airport on sunday or even as late as monday.

DARN IT! I was in Galveston last weekend!

I bet the merchants in the Historical "THe Strand" area near the Cruise Docks wish they'd let the passengers eat and shop in the shops there.

I wonder if they are waiting to see if Port Canaveral gets damaged? Maybe they will have to disembark at Tampa?

Hope they make it through this okay. Tampa isn't the quickest-2 hours to maneuver the boats through the bay to the terminal.

My Mom said they were docking, did not say exactly where.
She also said they were not allowed to disembark.
