i didnt know you could choose anyhere but the few places disney has on thier website. How do you get to have a wedding at itally or elsewhere? We are only doing an intimate wedding so i dont know if that makes a difference.

When I was planning my wedding, I know that Italy (and other epcot locations) were only available for custom weddings. But I haven't been keeping up to date with the info, so it may have changed?

Also for those who asked about a good photographer - Randy Chapman is usually the most recommended on this website. I used him and thought he was great :)

Ok, so here's my next question. I've talked with one or two people, who said they were only able to get their pictures taken in MK before hours because they had the full Disney wedding and now here's my question; can you not bring in your own photographer, like Randy Chapman, and take photos in the park? Or can you only have photos in the park if you pay for the wedding? HELP!!!! :confused3 :yay:

No outside photographers are allowed in the parks before opening, so you must go through DPS for the MK photos.

As far as I know, you do not have to have a custom wedding to do the MK photos (you could have an intimate), but you must be a Disney bride/couple.

We booked our MK photo session separately from the wedding.

That is correct. You can have the MK photo shoot with an intimate package too.

:offtopic: I know this is slightly off topic, but because the MK shoot is early in the morning, have all the brides that have had this done applied their make up themselves or is there anyway to get the make up artist that you had for your wedding do the make up for the mk shoot? I know it's a long shot due to the really early start, just thought I'd ask!

My MK photo shoot was the morning after my wedding. I actually just left my eye make-up on from the day before, wedding, day and put my hair up to keep some of the curls from the wedding day. It worke dout pretty good. One of the hair/make-up peopke may come in really early, but you will need to ask and see what their schedules are. I know after getting up so early for my wedding the bay before...there was no way I was getting up at 3:00am for hair and make-up again. I just had no interest in doing that after a long wedding day and just having done all of that! Plus, spend all the extra money again for hair and make-up. It wasn't worth it to me. I didn't really feel the MK photo shoot was my wedding it. It really was just a once in a life time thing to do. I mainly wanted the photos for the castle anyway, where there aren't any close-up photos. It was perfectly fine with me! I didn't get any sleep as it was and I couldn't have imagined going with any sleep. I know many brides, inlcuding myself, didn't have the greatest MK photo session experiences because they are so early in the morning and you are so tired! It's a little hard to look to enthusiastic...haha! The morning we did ours it was so hot, steamy, and muggy outside! It was worse than the wedding and the sun wasn't even up yet!

I had the same stylist from our wedding day do my hair and makeup on the morning of the MK shoot. She came to our room at 4:00 AM and we were in the lobby to go to the MK by 6:00 AM. We had one day in between the wedding and the MK shoot because we knew we would be too tired to do it the next morning.

We used Disney Cosmo, though. I understand that they all work independently now? So I don't know how they schedule it, or what they charge. There is no way I could have put my hair in an updo myself, so I had to have someone help me!

Wow...your photos are great!

Just making sure I'm clear on this. In order to have the MK Photo Package, you MUST be getting married at Disney. Honeymoons do not count? We're getting married in England and planning on having our honeymoon at WDW but we'd love to bring our outfits and do the MK photo package, there's just no way we can get everyone out there for a Disney wedding.

unfortunately, to do the MK photo session in your bridal attire, you have to have a disney wedding. sorry to break the bad news!

Thanks so much Liberty! I really was so impressed with the Disney photographers!! :)

Your wedding was GORGEOUS! Your colors, your bouquets... everything was SO pretty!

2 questions.

What were your wrapped favors, arranged in hearts on the table?
What WERE you doing on the chairs with your bridesmaid?!? :)

Looks like a wonderful time - and the pictures were FANTASTIC!

Congratulations!

I signed up here ages ago, never posted, and was happy to come back and find a section dedicated to Disney Weddings! Yay! I think I'll be popping in more often now. :)

My wedding was in April of 2003--almost 4 years ago!! Since my post count is low, I had to post the URL to my pics in my siggy. Enjoy!!
