Those invitations are absolutely amazing. We were starting to work with her, but unfortunately they were way over my price range I would have loved to do that, though!!

Also, you may want to check with Jen at Sassy Design Co. She does custom artwork for invitations - she did ours and they were perfect! Shelly was just a little out of my price range for 25 invitations....

Ok. I hope I don't get flamed, but we used Impressions and it has been an awful experience!
I really liked her and I loved the things she had to offer, but she let us down. She has continuosly missed dates (the budget, ordering of the invitations, and delivery were all late), has been very bad about returning calls/e-mails, and when one of our items was not done right she has still not fixed it after 6 weeks. She always has an excuse that never seems to add up! Our planner has even had to get involved! We are suppose to order the rest of the things for our wedding (Mickey fans, place cards, etc.), but we won't until she fixes all the things that were done wrong!
Sorry, for the rambling, but this is a sore subject for me. Can't recommend her!

No flames from me either!! She was always late with revisions and samples and never called or emailed us back when she said she would. We were actually using her for our dessert party invitations and she was so late with them that we cancelled her. It was a terrible FIVE months of working with her and the price definitely didn't match her level of customer service. She finally offered free overnight shipping (which she was originally charging around 100$ for (insane) ), but we denied it and went with making our own

On another subject, we went with Jen with Sassy Design Co. It was a longer process but in the end we got EXACTLY what we wanted. Her price was amazing and she was the sweetest person throughout the process. You can't beat her custom designs! Please please consider her. I think out of all of our vendors, she was one of the best decisions!!

I was just wondering how everything worked out? You said they were pefect...what did she print them on and how long did it take? Also which design did you pick?? DF and I LOVE the Castle with the slipper and Believe. I guess it works since we are having a Cinderella wedding and we got engaged there. My mom said it looks to dark. Do you have a picture of your invites if so would you post please?? Thanks a million!

I'm going to check out all of these websites Sorry to hear of all the probs with Impressions..makes me want to avoid them. We have 50-60 guests, and I'm pretty good with scrapbooking, so I'm thinking of making all of our invitations by hand. I thought it would be really sweet an personal. A lot of our wedding is going to be personal (Im making all the decor and flower arrangments, his Uncle is playing our ceremony music, my neice is singing a song at our reception, etc) so this would just add that extra touch.

What do you think is an average price for ordering invitations? Just so I have a number to go by

I'm one of the ones who actually had a good experience with Shelley. We did carlson craft invites with a custom reception card. We used her addressing services, too. She was pretty good about getting back to me (I did have to call/e-mail a few times sometimes, but overall I was able to get ahold of her). The invites did come in with a misprint, so she got them reordered. I think they were mailed about 1 week later than we originally had planned, but it all worked out ok since they were still mailed 1 month before the RSVPs were due. Also, we had our RSVP due date 1 1/2 months before the actual wedding. I won't deny that I got nervous around the time the invites were due in from the printer (doesn't everyone?), but we had allowed plenty of time, and I really liked working with Shelley, so it was all good.

Hi to everyone!

I really can't say enough good things about Shelley, I had my initial planning session at the beginning of May with Shelley and I found her most helpful. I was visiting from Ireland and was only in Florida for 2 weeks. I met Shelley on a Monday and she was full of helpful ideas, she had an amazing selection to choose from and she has such a creative mind in terms of wording and the verses on the invitations. At this meeting I picked my invitations, two days later Shelley faxed a draft to Francks for me to check and sign off which I did immediatley - they were perfect first time and exactly one week later Shelley dropped my invitations, reply cards, enevlopes and thank you cards to Francks for me to collect and bring home to Ireland with me in my hand luggage. I must admit I spent well over my budget but the result was worth evry penny there is no way I could have found any invitation even close to what she provided.Since I returned home to Ireland Shelley has kept in touch via email and has sent me lots of differnet favor ideas, reception cards, ceremony booklets...she has been amazing and definately fits in to the Disney experience!!!!

I see from above afew of you have had some bad experiences but seriously I can't praise her enough and I am looking forward to dealing with her again.

On a different note, Im back from Florida a month and still haven't done my TR on my planning session.... Im working on it though, just I haven't been well and with trying to look after myself and keep going to work etc I havent had a minute to myself...but watch this space.....Disney is definately what dreams are made of

I also used Shelley and have mixed feelings about it.

The cost, yikes! I seriously paid $650 for 30 programs. I must have been out of my mind however we tried getting ahold of her for 4 weeks prior to the wedding and couldn't get in touch. Finally, we were down there (the week of the wedding..) and cornered. She rushed around like a crazy woman and got the design done and we stopped in to review them. I took one look at the bill and broke down. DH said no tears this week unless they were for him and paid it. They were beautiful and she did a great job with the wording etc.

Invites we had were also through her and she did a great job w/ them. She even helped us get the font down on the computer so we could address them ourselves.
