Disney website - someone should be fired

I just tried to look up a quote for a package at CR for three adults and three children, but one will be under two. Doesn't that mean we can still book a tower view room? The website kept telling me we had too many occupants. Am I wrong?:confused3

I manually added 3 resort and 2 dining reservations yesterday, and they are still there today.

The new website gives you a link, saying you can still access your reservations that were made before Dec 12 by going to (this link) But the link doesn't go to the old website, so they should just take that sentence out.

I wrote to them, saying the link did not work and also asked if we would get some of the same info that we used to be able to see like total cost, and balance due type info. This is the response I got.

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. With the new
website, you must manually add your existing reservations through the
"My Disney Experience" tab under "My Reservations". If you are
experiencing a looping issue, please check back later. The website is
brand new and with your feedback, the site is being enhanced so you can
include existing reservations. There is no access to the old website.

And yes, the new My Disney Reservation tab will have information, such
as the balance due and payment information. We do anticipate a speedy
enhancement so the website will be a useful tool for our guests.

It seems everyone has a different version of the site. Not only do I still have access to the old site, it is the only site I get. I can manually enter (some) of my ADR's on the new app, but I am not able to do it on the web site. I see my resort reservation on the web site, but I can't get the app to recognize it. My DH was able to enter the ADR's on his account after I linked him on the app. So as long as we have 2 iPads and a desktop computer we are good to go! Sad.

My friend in Canada still has the old site. I just assumed you guys didn't get the update yet. I'm afraid to load the app. Maybe I'll do it in a couple weeks.

I noticed that 5 minutes ago. Painful.

There is no access to the old website.

:faint:

I just got this message.

Why Do I Need to Manually Link These Transactions?

Reservations made through travel agents, as well as certain transactions made on disneyworld.com or through the Disney Reservation Center, may not appear in My Disney Experience unless linked here.

Ah yes, those transactions that happened before they started messing with it? And those made after it? On the WDW website itself? Oh,and the ones made by calling in because you *have to* call in for them, like for the Gardenview Tea Room?

:rolleyes2

(since I got that error message while linking *dining* reservations, I must assume they meant it to be seen by those linking *dining* reservations...right?)

The site looks like it WILL be good, in about a month. I look forward to seeing the finished product. If only it had been kept under wraps, only seen by the people working on it, testing it as they go, and even beta-testing it, until it was done.

I wouldn't even mind being a beta tester. But I do need compensation. And I don't think that *anyone* should be put in a position where they have to link reservations on their own, made with WDW (and even TA reservations were made with Disney), especially when those reservations were there before.

Well. today my room reservations ( which always linked correctly ) to the new site are changed. Yup, dates are changed now. What the heck???

They have me going July 9-15...my ressie is for July 10-16.

Seriously, what the er..er... Heck????

No it's not the same at all unless you're suggesting that people sell "Retail". They don't!! They sell goods and services through the retail sector of the economy.

If you read the whole string you would know what was going. The pp said he was in the same industry as Disney. I said the Amusement Park industry? He replied customer service industry. There is no customer service industry.

The term "customer service industry" is pretty widely recognized and used. You are actually the first person that I have encountered that has argued against using the term.

The site still won't allow me to link my resort reservation, however my ADR's are all linked and pop up when I click the "My Disney Experience" graphic...step in the right direction, at least!

No, you are not wrong. It's a problem with the new website - it counts infants against room occupancy. You should be able to call and book that room over the phone.

Hi,
I posted this earlier on the Dining Reservations Board and thought I'd post it here, too:
(Sorry if I missed it on the previous pages if it was mentioned already)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On top of the non-linking issue, has anyone ran into this "glitch"?

Last night, I was trying to link our dining reservations (with no luck of course) and on my end, I noticed that our dining party was 5. We are a family of 4 and I booked all our dining for a party of 4. I have it printed, from the "old" system.

I'd hate to think a guest not get a reservation because of this, so I called Disney Dining. Took a while, but we went through each of our reservations and they had us correct on Disney's end, at a party of 4.

Perhaps it's part of the upgrade or whatever they call it and it will be fixed and then I, and a lot of others, have to take the time and link to the new system.

Thanks,
Mark

I've having the opposite problem. My room reservation shows up, but my ADR's (that I made *online* December 23rd (after the supposed deadline)) are not.

GAH!!

I really hope someone is cringing in embarrassment at how bad this website is. It's a disgrace.

Two years ago I couldn't get my dining reservations to link. Not a single time. It drove me crazy. Glad to see nothing has changed. HA.

Ok, so I've had it with this website, and have sent them a nastily worded e-mail that used many exclamation points.

You should all be relieved that I have now taken care of the problem.

All of their sites are bad. The trip is over and now I'm dealing with the photopass site.

Same here!! The photpass site makes me want to pull my hair out! I am also trying to find park hours on their new WDW site and I can not find a thing! We are heading back to the World in July and I am not looking forward to dealing with the site!

Let me know when you get the irritating form letter back that assures you that your 'thoughts have been shared with the development team' ... LOL

I imagine a LARGE dump truck arriving at their office each morning and dumping a pile of paper the size of a house all covered in similar comments for them to 'share with each other'...

Seriously.. heads need to roll on this one and I'm usually more charitable than that.. but quite honestly, it has REALLY put a damper on and buggered up my trip that starts in 2 days.

As of right now, I have 2 dining reservations for the week I'm there. I have given up, I'll make the rest when I get there ... If they don't have the reservations I want, I'll politely point out that their websites were so bunged up I couldn't get thru and then their phones were jammed because of the website being so so so bad.

Let the chips fall where they may at this point.

LOL.. thanks for taking one for the team!:thumbsup2

I just think it reflects on them so poorly as their potential point of first contact with customers. It also does nothing to instil any confidence in a customer when they are paying thousands of dollars to not see their reservations or be able to access them.

I am making changes at 52 days out. It is very unlikely I will be able to get my "Mickey Mail" in time. So I can only hope that A) my reservation confirmation gets emailed to me or B)things are fixed soon. The thought of showing up with a list of reservations that may or may not exist isn't very comforting.

Agreed! Can you imagine the amount of complaints they are getting? And they'd likely be getting more if most of us though anyone would read them or even get to the right people.

Did you tell them you're buggered? I used exclamation marks AND caps.

Now we're going to see some action.

I just went to make reservations for the beginning of July and after fighting the new web site for the past few days opened up the page and found the old web site to make my reservations on. Someone must have figured out that the new one wasn't working. Old one worked fine for my July 1 and 4 dinner reservations.

Thanks. ;) :lmao:

"Strongly-worded emails" do it every time. :thumbsup2
