Anyone leaving soon watching the Weather? I am really starting to freak out, I see alot of rain days in the forecast. I live in Mi, the weather here is terrible, I need SUNSHINE :cold: . NO RAIN!!! During our Disney trip in June 2002, it rained almost non stop the whole time we were there, and i'm talking heavy rain, it was so bad, made our entire trip horrible and a waist of money. Our Disney trip last yr was perfect, lots of Sunshine, and not one rain day. I don't want this trip to be like our 2002 trip, and I'm hoping that the rain is very little, on and off, and lite, I could deal with that. Anyone else feeling my pain? :rotfl2:

Yes! I just checked the Orlando weather before reading your post and I am nervous! We drive down Friday and check in on Sunday (after visiting relatives). Yesterday, the weather showed only rain for Mon. and Tues. I hope it clears up for next week! I don't like rain, but I'm terrified! of lightening! Maybe the weather predictions are as wrong as they have been around here.

I think it rains pretty much every day for a while in Orlando. :)

Seriously, they always say it will rain, but it only seems to actually rain 50% of the time. There's always the chance though because of the location.

When I was there in Feb 2004, it downpoured every day. One day was totally ruined even for us and we can have fun in anything.

Most of the time, when it rains, we love it because the parks clear out!

I am scared also.I am going april 3-7 the forecast for thoses dates aren't up yet...look on the bright side....it AlWAYS SAYS RAIn and usally half the time has a 5 minute shower and that is it....we went on the disney cruise last february and it was expected to be horrible weather and it was AWESOME WEATHER!!! Like too good to be true!

My brother & his family are there now, Thursday they were at D/Cove & said they had to come away at lunch time as the rain was more like a monsoon, but they do get a free extra day there - so not all bad!
We got a text yesterday saying the weather was much better & it was hot so hopfully the big down pour has cleared the air!
Good luck, i would sooner be in Disney in the rain than here though!! :goodvibes

www.wftv.com is the local weather station. They are calling for a chance of rain quite a few days this week. It has been very dry and we have had brush fire warnings. I don't think anyone wants to see fires around WDW.

Rain can be widely scattered here. It can be raining on one side of the park and not the other.

Well, since you have no control of the weather, just go with an attitude of "we are gonna have fun anyway, no matter what." Besides, sometimes the benefits of having some rain are really good...many people won't come to the parks if there is a threat of rain, which means shorter lines for you!!!

I understand how you feel though, as nobody likes the thought of having to deal with rain on their Disney vacation. But really, there's just nothing you can do about it except to let yourself be happy despite the weather. In a nutshell: Don't let the weather dictate how you feel. Decide in advance that you'll have fun!

Have yourself a wonderful time when you go and hope the weather is fair!!

:cool1:

What is the temperature going to be? I've been deciding between shorts or capris.......

Sweetpeakaris,
Which forecast did you read? I used weather.com for the week starting at Easter Sunday and it doesn't look bad. :sunny: Just one day had a chance for an isolated t-storm.

We were also in Disney June 2002. It didn't ruin our time, but we were soaked to the bone more than I would have preferred. This Easter we are going with my parents and they won't be able to just trudge thro' the rain like we did. I don't think it will be necessary, however, because I don't think the forecast is that bad! Please don't prove me wrong ;)

Hi all!

I just returned from WDW last night. We were there for 4 days. I have to say it was down right cold!!! You could see your breath in the morning!! Please bring some warm clothes to wear!!! I only had a few things to stay warm in and was uncomfortable being so cold. I guess being from the north I assumed that we would be so much warmer in FL!!!! People everywhere were buying up sweatshirts and jackets! It did warm up for our last 2 days though. We all had a terriffic time despite the weather.
Bottom line is enjoy your trime there and bring layers!!!!

you can't accuratly redict south florida weather this time of year past 24 hours. there are just too many variables.

I am watching it too - wondering if I should pack another pair of tennis shoes to keep the feet dry the next day?

We are definitely planning to bring extra tennies - they just don't get dry by the next day!

Ya never know with Florida, but always count on rain and then be surprised!
We just bought 8 disposable ponchos from walmart. I hate trying to pack those things back up into the backpack when it *stops* raining!

On weather.com the forecast does not look bad at all for the week starting with Easter. I know it's too early to rely on a forecast, but so far so good.
