Disney w/ my girlfriend and my parents for 7 days. Woop woop! April/May '09

your plan sounds so good so far!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your pink crocs. I am obsessed with all things pink, and also obsessed with mary jane crocs. I cannot find them anywhere, where did you find them! DBF thinks they're ugly but they are SO comfy!

Thanks! :goodvibes I got lucky and found those on EBay! The Disney Mary Janes are on sale on the crocs.com website though! The have pink ones too! I was thinking about ordering the black or brown ones. They are on sale for $17.99 (plus shipping of course.. bleh) The pink ones are too cute and you prolly can't beat that price if you are looking!

I agree that crocs aren't the most attractive shoes out there, but they are comfy! :cutie:

I think your plans look great!

Score on the shoes!:thumbsup2 Don't you just feel so good when you get a good shoe buy? I recently did the same.

And your neice is adorable in that dress...:cutie:

Yay Princess Hallise Claire! :lovestruc If she was only laughing or smiling in the last pictures it would have been perfect.. still I think i got some super cute ones!

I hope everyone is having a magical Wednesday! :wizard:

Hooray for My Hallise! She is just so darn cute! :lovestruc And hooray for DIS-Sisters! I'm so excited for your trip, Sis! The plans sound great so far!!

Nice shoes, Tarah! I've never had crocs, but everyone says they are really comfy. *Sigh* I miss shopping.

Hi sister! Thanks for posting! I'm glad you approve so far. I can't wait to buy stuff for you guys!! :cutie: Happy early birthday! You will be 25 tomorrow! :dance3:

Love the pink crocs! I have the black/red regular Disney crocs but those are so much cuter! I am usually a flip flop girl too, but the crocs are just too comfortable at Disney!

Great plans so far! Oh and your niece is adorable! And I love your nephews mohawk!

Holy moly, that is quite the packing list!! If I ever forget something on a trip, I'll know who to contact LOL.

Yay for more pictures of your cutie pie neice! So cute!

And :thumbsup2 I am a definite Crocs fan. Soooo comfy.:goodvibes I like the pink!

Those pink Crocs are so cute! :lovestruc

But Hallise is even cuter. ;) Those pictures are positively adorable!

I plan on beginning my packing tonight, and I think I'll be using your packing list for myself. :rotfl: You really covered everything! :thumbsup2

Your plan for each day looks really solid. Good idea of hitting DTD after AK closes. :thumbsup2

Hey Missie Tarah! I loved your pics of your niece, and I noticed that you were looking for a program to do some digital enhancements. I hope you don't mind, I took the liberty.....she's such a cutie, I was inspired! :) Anyway, I did a few for you myself!

PrincessHalliseIIIcopy.jpg

I darkened the shadows on this one, and used a spot color on her cute lips and beautiful eyes.

PrincessHalliseIII-spotcolor.jpg

Spot color on just the eyes this time, and I lightened the midtones to play up the blue in her eyes. :)

Same as the second pic, but I put her name on it. The blue one is the same blue that found in her eyes. :)

I hope you like them. I used Adobe Elements 6.0 (on a pc) to do this. I worked for a photographer in college... :) And I really hope that you don't mind that I did this! She's so photogenic, I was inspired!

LoL! I am a SERIOUS over packer... it is a blessing and a curse.

Two quick packing stories....
One year I packed my suitcase full.. and I mean FULL... somehow I forgot to put my little pile of undies in there?! :confused3 I had no room at all to shove them in my suitcase, so I grabbed a little grocery sack, threw them in, tied it shut, and i was done. :rotfl: that entire trip my family would not leave me alone about "the panty bag" ... even now it still gets mentioned.
The other story is one time I for some reason packed a ton of socks?? :confused3 We froze our water bottles for Disney each night before so they would start to thaw and stay cold the next day. Well, the condensation was awful from it ... well ta da! My extra socks came in handy! We put the water bottles in the socks to absorb the condensation... it kept the stuff in our bags from getting wet.

Thank you! :goodvibes I haven't actually started packing yet... but I def feel like our trip is becoming more real each day! I am super big on list making... I think I have a ton of lists related to this trip. :cutie:

We have never been to DTD and I am really excited to go!

O-M-G! Courtney! Thank you soooo much! That is amazing! That is exactly what I was wanting to do! :worship: If I can manage to make that big enough to print a copy those will seriously be framed! :cutie: I am really excited to show Trista! Aw, yay! Thank you! That totally made my morning! :goodvibes

There are 3 birthdays this month, so all of my shopping has been center around that lately... My sister turns 25 today, my nephew turns 3 later this month, and Jen's mom bday is later this month too....

But! I did make 2 Disney related purchases the other day...

I got this for something to do in the car... it is the color wonder stuff. It may seem childish but I love crafty/artsy things. I am really big into painting (I have even sold some! sorry.. moment of pride there :rolleyes1 ) But I got this from Hobby Lobby the other night to for the car. It's simple, but I thought it was cute and was something to do mess free. :goodvibes

Now.. I have a huge fan of all things Vera Bradley.. lately tho I have not been able to convince myself to spend the money on a new full price VB bag even though I wanted the hipster for Disney. I plan on taking a backpack into the park that we will take turns with, but I wanted my own little bag for my camera (gotta get those DIS pics for my TR! ;) ) also cell phone, wallet, etc, etc... I was totally willing to settle on something else, but I havent been able to find what I was looking for. I have a long torso... like weirdly long.. I cannot wear a normal one piece bathing suit because it is too short... if that makes sense to anyone...so when I want a bag to wear across my body... they never hang where i want it to!... Anyway! I went to Marshalls... like a Ross or TJ Maxx if that helps anyone who is unfamiliar.. they actually had Vera Bradley bags! :woohoo: but they only had the huge ones... :guilty: I have a ton of the larger size VB bags and could not pay even $50 for another one even tho it was a good price... and then I came across this!

DSCN0219.jpg

It was perfect! The strap was long enough, it was the perfect size! Heck, it was even cute! :cutie: Better yet...

DSCN0227.jpg

It was on clearance! :cool1: I totally love it!

DSCN0221.jpg

It has one big pocket and lots on smaller pockets! I just loooove it! :lovestruc

Ok... that is all for now! :goodvibes Happy Friday everyone! :wizard:

PS- sorry if the pics are sideways... they are edited in photobucket, but are not showing rite on here! hmpf.

Well, Happy B-day to your sister today! And I am glad you liked the pictures! I had fun working with them. If there is something else you'd like to see done with them, don't hesitate to ask! It's kind of a hobby of mine! :)

Nice purchases! That bag is sooo cute! I love crafts too, although most of mine are stuff I do on the computer (like the photos :rolleyes1 ) but I used to take coloring books on trips, and I have a lot of Winnie the Pooh ones. But my mother told me I wasn't allowed to take them anymore, because I would always bring a really big box of crayons. There is this one color that is the exact color of Pooh Bear, but it only came in the big box!

I really like that bag! I've been thinking about getting a new bag...

I totally understand about the long torso, not because of me, but DH. His is LONG. He is 6'1" with a 32" inseam. LONG torso. He had to have x-rays done on his lungs (job related benchmark) and they had to take two because his lungs wouldn't fit in one.

I love arts and crafts. Hobby Lobby is one of those stores that I can spend hours in. I like what you got. I'll be picking up some things there myself for our road trip...

Love the coloring stuff; that is on my list of things to get! You're NEVER to old to color! (Haha; except, now every time I hear color, I chuckle from a part in my favorite adult movie. Let's see if you know what it is!)

The bag is cute and looks very functional; awesome price, too. I refuse to pay for anything full price! :lmao:

I had been thinking of buying a few coloring books and some crayons for our trip as well, and your post has inspired me to go ahead and do it! :goodvibes I love to color. The smell of crayons always takes me back to being a kid. :cloud9:

Of course, I'm probably not as good at it as you, Miss Bona Fide Artist. ;) That's so cool that you've actually sold paintings!!! :thumbsup2

The new bag is cute! What a great find! Marshalls is a great store.

Thank you so much! I was super proud when I sold my first painting. I was in shock. :worship:

I don't know why coloring is so fun... but I def think it is friendly. :hippie: I'm glad you've decided to go ahead and get some! I'm sure you won't regret it! :goodvibes

Just wanted to FYI anyone that the crocs website has free shipping through St Patricks day! :goodvibes Code "green09"

Yay! I tried on some of the Athens crocs at the store this weekend and :lovestruc them more than the regular crocs... I am gonna order a pair. I also told Jen to scan the web site ... she thinks crocs are super ugly (of course) but I convinced her to try the mens "santa cruz" style... they look like boat shoes.. very cute. I want her to have comfy shoes and something other than tennis shoes for disney... We went looking around and found that shoes similar to this style that are comfy to be about $10 more.... sooo I figure I would bite the bullet and pay $50 to see if she likes them. Anything for Disney! ;)

Nice bag! And nice price!!! I'm on the search for a new bag for Disney too! I can't find anything I LOVE that is small, yet big enough to hold my camera, cellphone, and other important things!

Must. not. buy. Crocs.

Must. not. buy. Crocs.

:rotfl2:

I do hope Jen is converted when she gets her Crocs! I used to hate them but they are so comfy and there really are some cute styles. I'll cross my fingers for you!:goodvibes

Thank you! I had a hard time too... I came across this one when I wasn't even looking for a bag. I hope you find one! :goodvibes

:rotfl: I know! I am having a hard time not buying more than I know need... I am gonna place my order tomorrow (yay payday;) ) and I'm only gonna order me a pair of Athens and Jen the santa cruz ones... Last night I actually witnessed her trying on my pink crocs to see how they felt. If only I could have been quick enough to snap a picture. :lmao: It was so funny. We have got her to the Disney Dark Side... so now we are hoping to get her to the Croc side too. I am also getting my Marmee a pair. My dad refuses.. he is a tennis shoe man and that will not be changed, but mom is gonna go for it. I was so excited when I saw the free shipping! I don't know why, but I hate paying for shipping. Hmpf. I was amazed though how much I thot the Athens flip flops were so much more comfy than the normal crocs. I am a flip flop girl through and through and perhaps that plays a large part... but if you havent tried the Athens, I recommend them. :cutie:

Oh and I counted our days again... not including today or the day we leave (i dont know if thats how everyone does it, but i like it ;) )

43 days!! :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cool1: :wizard:
