Hi all! I'm new to this forum but glad I found you!
My husband and I are considering a trip to Disney World in the next two weeks.
My son is 2 months old and I'm concerened about taking him on the rides.
I plan on using a stroller and a baby Bjorn front carrier for him but I'm not sure if I can use the front carrier on the rides.
We usualy stick to the Pirates and Haunted Mansion and the People Mover easy slow moving rides.
Any suggestions?

My second DD was 2 months old the first time we took her to WDW. We used a sling which she stayed in for most of the day. We did not have to take her out for the slow moving rides.

we took are then 5 1/2 mon DD last October. We also took a sling for her after the recomendations from this post. I had been going back and forth on taking a stroller for her or the baby bjorn or both. A few people recommended the Maya Wrap, so I bought one and my DD LOVED it! The best use of my money! She stayed in there virtually the entire trip. It was so comfortable and convienent to have. I wish that I would have discovered it sooner! It was great for her to sleep in and also to shelter her from the sun without the use of sun block. (whereas the baby bjorn their skin is exposed) We also had my 3 yo DS with us so I took a stroller for him, I occasionally would try to put her is in the stroller and she did not like it. She was just a little too small for a stroller without a carseat yet. I am so glad I didn't drag another stroller with me! Hope this helps, have a great trip! Taking a baby to DW is probably one of the easiest ages to take!

my dd went on loads of rides in her babjbjorn last december - she was 12 weeks old.

we also used a stroller - i would disagree that any baby is too small for a stroller w/out a carseat - a lie flat stroller is an essential for us, as even swapping between a baby bjorn and a ring sling, my back couldn't carry my baby all day.

Thank you for the good ideas.
I also have a quick packing question.
I'm a notorious overpacker. I was thinking about packing the babies stuff and shipping stuff like diapers and formula and his boppy to the hotel so I don't have to carry it with us on the plane. We are already going to have to be dealing with a carseat, stroller, and baby on the plane.
Any suggestions on what to pack to make the trip easier or things I might not think of?
Also, how do you guys solve the bath problem when on vacation? I'm not packing my portable tub for him and I'm nervous about "free" bathing him in a big tub...any ideas?

we bought nappies, formula etc in Orlando, but we did have a hire car. If you have a towncar from the airport i think they will make a stop for you

I bathed my baby in the tub with me, or her big sister (she's 6, so pretty good at holding a baby across her knee)
we also have a big bathing sponge that baby lies on, that we use at home in the big bath (we don't use a baby bath anymore), and that would pack pretty small, if you put it in a ziplock and squeezed all the air out.,

my 2 big tips would be to bring a lie flat stroller that umbrella folds for the buses, and a comfy sling for rides.

Of course! The Huge body sponge thing! THANK YOU! I would never have thought of that!
I have it in my kitchen! I'm going to be sure to pack that up!

I have bathed my kids many times in bathroom sinks. Just put a towel down in the bottom of the sink to keep baby from sliding.

If you don't want to bring everything with you, you can rent just about anything you need from a baby's best friend

If you're going to be using a Baby Bjorn, I highly recommend bringing a small, Totes-style umbrella to protect the baby from the FL sun. I use one when I have DD in the sling.

Momofbuzzfan, I'm so glad to hear you love the MayaWrap sling! I don't know if I was one of the ones who recommended it to you, but I try to let everyone know about them. I carry my 20+ pound, 13 month old DD in it most of the day every time we go to WDW (approx. every 3 weeks.)

My Dr. nixed the trip for us. She doesn't want Patrick flying till he's at least 3 months old. So we will plan to go down in September which is the next time my husband can get time off of work.
I'm disapointed but glad I found this place and I'll be lurking!
