I thought the Disney Visa deal of 500 reward points incentive was in effect until the end of this month. This was toward the purchase of points at AKV or SSR. I don't see it on the Chase website any longer. Does anyone know anything about this?

I spoke with two guides in the last few days and they both told me that it ran until the end of November. One told me Nov. 24 and the other said Nov. 30.

Kimberh, If you have the Disney Visa card you should be getting Disney Dream Reward Dollars for your purchases. On your statement, about the middle of the page, there's a Cardmember ID #. My understanding (and what my guide told me) is that after you purchase points, you give your guide that number and they apply it to your purchase. He said it could be $500 dollars off the total price, or $500 reward dollars on our reward card. We currently own at BWV and are considering buying 200 points at AKV. I'm not sure if new owners qualify or if there's a minimum # of points you need to purchase. Others probably know this. Also, you needed to have the card prior to Septermber 1st. I'm not sure about that date, but you had to have the card previously.

I bought at SSR 2 weeks ago and will be getting the $500 reward dollars on my Disney Visa. I had no idea about the promotion until me guide told me. I put half the deposit on my Disney Visa and gave them the number off my statement when I got home last week. I am a first time buyer and my guide didn't mention anything about puting it towards closing costs. I don't think you can because the reward dollars will not show up until 60 days after your closing. I close on November 2, I doubt I will see the $500 reward dollars until after the new year.

I am going to use the $500 reward dollars to buy my annual pass for my first DVC trip in April.

My guide didn't mention when the $500 promo ended. I knew I was buying while I was at wdw 2 weeks ago so I never thought to ask.

The promotion needs to be taken advantage of by 11/30/07. I'm in the process of purchasing SSR. My closing is Nov 15. I will also be buying APs with this. The only expenses I will have will be airfare and food.

Just a FYI......you can only get the 500 pt. promo if you purchase direct from Disney. There is a customer ID # that is on your Disney Chase statement that must be used at the time of purchase.
Another FYI...if you plan to add on and want the 0% for 6 mos. no interest on the first $2500 of the purchase, you must also buy direct from Disney. There is a special phone number that has to be called at the time of purchase to get this. I purchased re-sale.....they wouldn't honor either of these.
