We are going on october 15th driving down to Disney and I called for the rewards and they said I can just do it at the parks or it will take 7 to 10 business days .. Has anyone ever done that? And is it easier if you might be to late to get it in the mail??

If you have them send your rewards now you should get them in plenty of time. I believe it took 5 days to get mine (I'm also from New York)...but for the sake of not being worried about the timing I would just have your rewards sent now. That being said it is just as easy to get your rewards down at Disney. Since you have a car it would be easy to stop by Downtown Disney Marketplace and run into guest services. There they will give you the rewards card "supplies" (it's an envelope with the rewards card and some informational paperwork) you then just call the number on the card and they pop your rewards on. Very simple, most times I just go pick up the card at Downtown Disney because then there is absolutly no worry of the card not coming in time

I was at the park last week & got my rewards card & points transferred in about 5- 10 minutes. It was very easy & the cast members were helpful & entertaining. I went to guest relations at Epcot. You can do it at any of the parks...and downtown disney I think, but I'm not sure where. Super simple & much less stress since you don't have to worry about the card arriving in time.

I find it easier to pick up the card at guest services when I am there.. better than getting lost in the mail, not arriving on time, forgetting it at home when you leave..

I'd do it in Downtown Disney. I also have had old tickets that I need to check the balance on so I can get it all done there. When there are queues at the hotels they will only check a few ticket media for you.

I got one at Guest Services in MK in January. Very easy. I would just wait and get one when you get there. Don't rely on the mail. Very risky.

we ordered ours (the bare minimum of 20 points needed to get it) as soon as we got the 20 points so that we would have it. It came within 5 business days.

Now I am keeping all the points possible on my card until we arrive. Then i will transfer all but 9 points (wait for the explanation) over to the card when we get to our hotel room.

The reason I am awaiting on the remaining 9 is that our card billing cycle ends on the 10th of oct so by the 14th we will be having a few more points posting and since you need a minimum of 10 i figured i will at least have new point that will allow me to transfer the rest for a little extra cash on the last few days :)

This is unrelated to cashing in your points, but is about the Disney Rewards Visa so I figured I'd stick it here rather than starting a new thread...

How harsh is Chase about credit approvals? I technically have next to no income right now (I'm unemployed because I'm caring for my grandmother currently). However, I have plenty of money in checking and savings and my bills are always paid (I have around $5000 in available credit with Capital One and various store charges, and a car loan that I'm halfway through paying off...never been late on a payment on anything.) I know this is random and may not be able to be answered by anyone here, I was just looking for some insight.

I don't really want to apply if it's likely I'll be denied and then have a mark against me on my credit report, which should be pretty spotless at this point in time.

:confused3

No flames please, I'm just a little clueless when it comes to big bank credit applications. I have no problem getting approved for little store charges but that's hardly alike...

No idea how or why they approve or deny people when they do. They denied my sister when she applied her first time for the disney visa, but they accepted her the second time she applied a couple months later :confused3 ... there wasn't any change in her credit or anything like that, we couldn't figure it out for the life of us what was going on in their heads

I'm in FL and mine took more than 2 weeks to arrive. Just something to consider.

My husband has the Disney rewards chase visa bank acct/debit card, can we go to guest relations for these rewards too?

I have the visa credit card and already got my rewards card but he's been procrastinating and hasn;t done it yet and I don't think it'll arrive on time for our Oct. 1st trip.

you sure can! Guest Relations at any of the four parks (either the window or the inside location) or at Downtown Disney (either the window at DisneyQuest, and the lobby behind Ghirardelli/next to Team Mickey)

There are separate cards for the Debit card (so if you try to activate a credit card one for the debit they will send you back to get a new one!)

But it's very easy....you just show your card and your photo ID, you get a card and you just call to activate it and you can instantly start spending it!
