Disney Visa Rewards

I have accumulated about $1000 reward dollars on my Disney Visa. Since we have free dining, I'm not planning on spending that much out of pocket during my stay.

I have the Magic Your Way package, and the payment is due about 6 weeks before my trip. Can I request my Rewards Card prior to my payment due date, and use the rewards dollars towards my payment? It wouldn't cover the entire balance.

If I do that, would I still get 6 months interest free on the balance of the bill that I am charging on my Visa?

I've used the reward dollars before on our trips, but I didn't have free dining, and I didn't have as many dollars. We've always just used the money for dining and souvenirs, but I'm not planning on spending $1000 on souvenirs this trip!

I was able to put my rewards points towards my MTW package without any problems.

When you order the card, you do not have to put all of the Rewards dollars on it. The points in your account expire 5 years from their statement posting date. Any points you transfer to the card expire when the card does, which is usually within a year. If you do not think you will use all $1200, you can just transfer what you think you will need. If you run out, you can transfer more. It literally takes minutes. You just call the 800# on the back of the Rewards card. I've called from in the Disney Store and by the time I went to check out, the points were there.

I'm bummed because I didn't think to apply my reward $ to my package. I ordered my card and it's on its way. We have the dining plan for our WDW trip in Nov. Can I use the rewards $$ to pay for tips (which aren't included w/the dining plan)? Thanks...
