Disney Visa Rewards ?

I am interested in finding out what/where you can use the rewards card. I know you can use it for paying tips. Where else is it taken.

do you have to have a disney visa card or is any visa card ok, is there a website i can look up about it,thanks

I was glad I waited until I got to Disney to get a card & get it loaded. it worked out great. I will do that again this year.

I've been saving up my reward dollars since our last trip, and so far, I have...wait for it.....$700.00!!!:cool1:
This is paying for our DDP and tips in October!

We are going to give the card a shot. Currently we only have one credit card with a very low balance and are not typical credit card people. But utilizing it for everyday activities and paying it off monthly seems like a good strategy. We will have money saved up for our trip but initially putting it on the card makes sense as well. When we finally get to Disney next April we will hopefully have some nice spendy cash saved up. Is it really as easy as it seems to get your dollars applied? And do people typically get their points/dollars activated right at the Disney resort check in? Thanks for your replies.

It is true that using your Disney Visa for every day expenses really increases your reward dollars. However, it is best utilized if you pay off your card every month as you would write a check for the bill you're putting on it. It takes a lot of discipline to do this, but if you can, your rewards dollars really accumulate fast. Try putting any big purchases that you are going to pay cash with on the Visa, then pay it off when the bill comes. Good luck.

I have been using my card for everyday purchases then moving the daily amount from my checking into my savings and then moving it back to checking to pay off the card. Initially I had been paying the Visa card every week or so but an agent at Visa said this wasn't a good idea since sometimes the system doesn't recognize an early payment and that could result in late fees!!! Anyone CC saavy know if that agent was telling me the truth? Somehow I got the feeling that because this wasn't in the company's best interest they discourage it. I also worried that if I paid amounts before the due date that I might not get reward credits for those amounts.

If anyone is paying as they go (as opposed to only on the due date) and it's working for them..please let me know. My current method is ok, but it's a lot of back and forth.

I pay whatever we charge at the end of every week, been doing this for a long time -- and no problems! :thumbsup2
