I feel really stupid that I can't find this answer to this. :rotfl::confused3 I just went to the Chase site to order my reward card for our upcoming trip with our dollars transferred on it. It seems I can only order a card, with none of the rewards on it? We have plenty of rewards so it's not like we aren't at the minimum.

How does this work? Do you order a card w/no rewards on it and then have the money transferred onto it?

Thanks in advance. I realize how dumb this is. :rotfl:

You order a card and the MINIMUM amount you need to transfer at the time you order the card is 20 reward dollars. That's what I did. Then, a day or two before I plan to use the reward dollars, I will transfer the rest.

BUT, you can order the card with all your reward dollars on it. Just type it in.

I agree with what Starry_Solo said. Put the minimum $20 if it is the first time you order the card ($10 after that), then right before your trip transfer the rest (or whatever you plan to use).

I use my card for food on our trips and I tranfer what I need for that trip, a few days before our trip.

Agree with above, transfer a little at a time. Heck, I have even transferred $$ to the card while standing in line at the World of Disney at DTD! The transfer is instant! :thumbsup2

And just for clairity the reason you don't want to transfer everything to the card at once, is that the rewards cards expire, a card gotten anytime in 2012 will expire December 31, 2013. Rewards left on your account don't expire for 5 years.

The minimum is $20 the very first time that you order a card. The minimum is $10 for any future transfers, or new cards.

That's the reason why I only put the minimum when I got the card (the other one had expired but we had already used the reward dollars). 2 days before we leave, I have to go to DLR to renew & upgrade our APs to Premier APs good at WDW/DLR so that's when I'm putting the rest of the reward $s on (and I have to write down what I put down b/c the last time we used reward $s, they couldn't tell us what the balance we had left on it was :P

I was running out of time with the rewards on the actual rewards card (about to expire) and I went into a Disney Store and bought a gift card with that amount on it. :) This totally saved me!
