Disney Visa Rewards Points

OK I leave in 9 days I have gotten my rewards card in the mail and have over $200.00!!! I am very excited! My question is how do these cards work? Is it best to cash the whole thing in for Disney Dollars? If so where do I do this? These cards work just like a debit card...right? NEW TO REWARDS HELP A GIRL OUT

I just went in April (and had over $400!!! ), yes it works just like a debit card. On every receipt it is supposed to show your balance (not every one of mine did) so you can keep track of whats left. When I got home I added everything up & I actually used more then what was on the card. Some cashiers said it was empty & some used it??? I wasn't sure when I was there how much was left. Then when I got back home I noticed that the balance was on the receipts. (I felt like I stole - but wasn't my fault they accepted it).
Anyway.... you can use it anywhere on Disney (I never tried the snack stands???). I used it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, character meals, souvies, etc. At first I started using the card, then we decided to charge everything to our room & we could have a list of charges to look over & we could use the point card towards the room charges anyway (its Disney!). That worked out really well being able to visable see all of the charges on 1 sheet of paper (the hotel gives you the night before you leave)

I just transferred our reward dollars over to our card for our trip in 8 days. I ended up with $650.00!!!! Took three years to get it. I am hoping to be able to put everything on our room key and then go and pay it off with that before they charge our CC.

We were there over labor day, after a couple of days I went down to the desk and put the entire balance $560 onto our room charge. By doing it this way we were able to have everything we charge on one document, and only worry about carrying one card. You might be able to add it at check in, at the time we checked in I had forgotton about it. Next time I will try it at check in. Make sure that if you go down to add it onto you room charge you bring the credit card that any difference will be charged to so they can put that back on your account after they add the debit card amount.

Just a warning, non-Disney owned restaurants will not accept the Disney Visa Rewards Card. I believe most if not all of these places are in Downtown Disney, such as Rainforest Cafe. Any place that is actually owned by Disney should accept Disney Visa Rewards Card. If in doubt, just ask first.

I used $500 this past July I used it towards the Disney dining plan. This helped with our bill as 3 adults for 14 days, what can I say I love my Disney points. Already working for my next trip, $200 saved and counting. As you can already guess I put everything on my card to get points.

But I was wondering how much cash we'd need. What places at WDW accept only cash?

You can use your reward card almost anywhere in Disney on merchandise, park tickets, hotel nights, food, etc. You can call Chase at 1-800-300-8575 if you have any questions. We use them every time we go to Disney, we are leaving for Disney World in 11 days.
