I was looking at my account today and notice my reward dollars include cents now? I thought it was done in $1 increments? Did I miss something.

My balance is $xxx.08.

Ok I got my own answer. Called them and they said starting in November you are getting the exact amount instead of them rounding up or down.

Still think its strange since I thought you could only redeem them in whole dollar amounts. Oh well!

I was able to transfer all of my rewards, to the penny, and use them in December.

I received a letter from them a few weeks back about this. I'm not sure if it is in our favor or if it really comes out the same but it seems like a wonderful thing to the users. I haven't looked at it to see.

You should have received a notice about it back in November. I believe my notice came in the US mail.

I didn't get a notice but in the long run it does make us lose $. That's okay, I'm still happy with the card and program.

same here. I believe we received a post card, a little before Tgiving.

I guess I missed the notice, and I know I didn't get a postcard. Oh well, I just saw it and was like...hmmmmm?

Thanks for everyones replies!

You only lose money if the rounding was in your favor. That probably only happened if you managed your account so that your bill was always $X51, which would earn you X+ 1 points. Now you will earn X.5 points, half a poin less.

If you just made your normal charges, statistically you would have benefited as often as you were penalized. The change makes it easier but not as good if you actively managed your spending to maximize rewards. -- Suzanne

You can call to have your account credited with the cents you didn't earn using the previous method. They rounded it up and gave me a buck.

I don't remember any notification, but did notice that we had $XXX.01 on the last statement.

I got a notice but I have a different question. How is everyone doing with points? Is everyone at 1 point per $100 spent? I have not had an increase in a long time. 1 point per $100 is just not worth it to me.

It is a typical 1% rewards card. They occasionally have a bonuses but I haven't seen one that benefits me in quite awhile.

Have do the math and decide which is the best for you.

Disney reward card you are earning 1 reward for each $100 you spend. 1 reward equals $1

Other reward cards may give you more points per $100 spent but how many points does it take to equal $1 ???

I received the notice in November and wasn't very happy about it... losing money because they don't round up any longer :confused3 I am still going to use the card, but wasn't happy when I received the message.

Sorry, but I for one was happy to receive that notice about the added cents instead of rounding the $1 or not. I never could tell exactly what my balance would be (because of returns, etc. crediting my acct.) and it always seemed like my balance was just shy of the .50 mark and I was losing :sad2: Hey, that's my Disney spending money - don't mess with that :rotfl:
