Disney VISA Reward Card ????

OK, I signed up for Disney VISA reward card since I read on mousesavers that card members may recieve discount room offerings in advance of the public. I have had my card for a few weeks, but now wonder how folks recieve the discount offerings? Do you receive a newsletter, or are the offers part of the statement? If I do not use the card and don't get a statement how will I hear about the offers????? We are planning a Jan 09 trip and are hoping (fingers crossed) to get a discount offer in October. Beside waiting, is there anything else I need to do? Thanks

I have received both emails and regular mail offers. I do receive paper statements (my bill). I do think the room discounts that are offered by the Disney Visa apply to all cardholders. Check their website often. The bonus rewards, however, are offered to selected cardholders. No one knows the rhyme or reason some receive bonus dollars offers and some do not. They currently have a 5 times bonus offer for July-Sept. My offer was to earn the bonus on purchases of Groceries, Airline, Dining and Gas over 250 each month. My daughter's offer was to earn the bonus on all Grocery purchases for the 3 months. Many other posters received similar, but different, offers. You did have to call an 800 number or sign up online with a code. There are many other benefits that the Disney Visa offers such as discounts on behind the scenes tours, purchase discounts at stores in DTD and a free picture in EPCOT to name a few. The only email offer I received was to sign up for an online service. I did call the 800 number to activate the card. I will try to sign up for the online service to see if that does anything else for me. I did not receive any notice or offers for bonus points. Maybe the card is too new????

Most often people find out about the offers here before the notices actually get sent out to the cardholders. I would keep checking here to find out if a discount is going to be offered.
