Disney Visa rates up AGAIN!

Just FYI for those of you who use the Chase Visa...I rarely carry a balance so don't often look at my rates, but noticed a few months ago that they had raised my rate from 7.9% to 14.9. I used it last month and the statement came today, and the rate is now up to 17.9%. I have never had a late payment, and I have good credit so was miffed to see it climb that high. Just giving a heads up.

I'm the same way...I almost never leave a balance and a few months ago they raised my rates about the same as yours. But I think they're just doing it across the board, so try not to get too offended.

I'll keep my eye out for another hike...thanks for the heads up!

I have 3 cards and all of them have raised the interest fees. I called and asked what was going on and they told me that the new administration had passed something saying that it was ok for the CC companies to pull their customers' credit scores and if it wasn't to their liking that they could raise interest rates, lower credit limits, and/or shut the card down.

All 3 of my cards' interest rates were raised so I guess they didn't like my score!
I had never been late or anything...but they raised up the interest so high that it made it impossible for me to make the payments...so I am now negotiating a settlement with them. I hate to have to do that, but I can't ride the treadmill forever!

It better not be based on score since mine is wonderful and mine went up on only the card that is shared with DH and his score is great too. I didn't get to call today but will be trying again tomorrow.
