disney visa question...

hey guys--
i applied for this a few weeks ago..i was wondering how long it took you guys to find out if you were getting the card---and if there is a number or web address to check on it? i have 3 weeks till my trip and really want to use the card when im there since i know ill be buying alot

When I applied for it, I was worried that I wouldn't get it because I've only had 2 credit cards. But I got it no more than a week or 2 after I applied for it, with the credit limit being a lot higher than it was for my other two. I was surprised considering I'm only 21 and have barely used my credit cards!

I'm not sure if there's a website or a number to call, but I don't think it will take 3 weeks. I seriously think mine only took like a week, because I remember being surprised at how fast it came.

Just be careful! Now that I have my Disney Visa, I charge a lot more than I used to, because I really want those reward dollars!

haha..thanks!! i applied for it about 3 weeks ago,, thats why i was wondering if i should "check" on it..
ill be 21 next month and like you said, i only have 1 or 2 other credit cards, but i pay them off eveery month...so im hoping theres no problem!

never mind--just found a number and tried it---put in my ss number and it said i have been approved and should get my card in 7-10 days

I read recently that Disney will be discontinuing the Disney Visa sometime within the next year so use it while you can and rack up those Disney Reward Dollars!

Yay! I figured it couldn't be too hard to get one. If I can get one, anyone can. That's just weird that it took so long, when mine came after like one week.

No, they are discontining the Disney STORE credit card. The Disney Visa is still going strong.

Replying to my own post as I thought it may help anoher DISer! I found the # on the Chase website: (800) 432-3117, 24 hours/7 days a week

I went through the prompts to check the status of my application - it asked for my Social Security # - and said I had been approved and should receive the card within 10 days!!!

I'm so excited! We've definitely got some time to rack up some rewards before our February WDW trip!

ive been waiting for hte card for so long...got my gift certificiate in the mail...they said if i dont get the card on the 20th to call again..ahh

We applied back in August...I forgot about it until I saw this post. I haven't heard about an approval or denial. I should call them to make sure...just in case someone else got our card (with identity theft you can't be too careful)
