Disney Visa question

on my last cruise, we had 3 rooms. One I booked on board so I got that OBC. The others, I booked with DCL (and used the Disney Visa) but later transferred to 2 different TAs (Costco & AAA) to get their offers/OBC

How do you "transfer" a reservation to a different TA? Do you have to cancel and rebook? Thinking about taking advantage fo Costco offer as well.

If you already have your reservation thru a TA they have to release it back to DCL which is very hard to do. But if you booked it thru DCL and they still 'hold' your reservation you just need to call the TA that you want to transfer it to.

It has been reported on here that Costco will no longer honor transferred reservations to obtain their gift card offer.

Thanks again. We did book through DCL and have paid the deposit so I assume that is more than "on hold".

When I said they 'hold' your reservation, I meant they are the ones in charge of it not that you only have it 'on hold' and not paid a deposit.

There are many TA's out there that you can transfer it to and get an onboard credit tho.

I was just told some sailings have double shipboard credit with your Disney Visa. Has anyone heard of this or know which sailings?

We used some of our Reward Points from our Disney Visa to pay part of our cruise. Does anyone know if this now makes us inelligible for the onboard credit? We've used the Disney Visa to pay for the rest of the cruise & then paid off the card when the bill comes in so that we would earn extra points for some spending money on the cruise. This is our first cruise & I'm learning now that there are many things that I should have done differently to save money.
