Disney Visa perks???

We were able to get free dining a week before it was available to the public due to having the card - a perk I wasn't aware of until my Travel Agent alerted me :) And I don't mean book a week earlier, the free dining became effective a week earlier for us in August, if that makes sense. It was supposed to start the day after we left, but instead we got it to start the day after we arrive :)

Oh, this just made sense to me.. So you got a Free Dining Plan when most people (general public without D VISAs) in the park did not have this option until FreeDining dates the following weeks. Wow, hadn't heard of that before!

It's not uncommon actually, usually there is 1 or 2 discounts a year that disney visa holders get at least a couple days to book before everyone is eligible.

Really. My sons Girl friend is a manager for Chase. Have to check that out.

Not sure if every chase card will get you in but disney visa (from chase) will.

I had heard of the early booking thru DisneyVISA and have used that. It sounded like the person was saying they actually got use of Free Dining a week earlier than the "general public" if you look at the post. Maybe I misread it?

yep! We'd already had a vacation booked and my ta saw the deal came through and asked if we wanted to switch some things around. We had to change rooms and do a split stay (one night room only) and then the rest of the trip includes the free dining and hopper :) I guess that's a perk of having a TA, because I don't think I'd have known that otherwise.

And right - to clarify I think the free dining was starting Aug 22 (don't quote me on dates. I don't remember any more). But we were able to get free dining starting on Aug 14.

**just looked it up - the free dining plan starting in August starts Aug 23, but we were able to grab free dining starting Aug 14. It was a nice perk considering we were not able to re-arrange our trip dates. And we hadn't purchased the hopper passes on our original tickets either, and the free dining package included those as well!

If I remember correctly, the mini-free dining for the summer came out in jan with disney visa holders having a couple days to a week early to get it (this is the one with summer dates and limited to the basic plan).. The larger one that came out but very limited so most people couldn't get it with fall dates did not come out for visa holders early.. last year and previous years they did get a good week early to book.

We love the card - we were able to get FD at CBR because of this card - all the regular public offers were sold out.

I have reservation for Boma and Sanaa and have both Premier AP and Disney VISA. So at both restaurants, we can get 10% off?

I actually just got this card offer in the mail recently ($50 gift card after first purchase, $200 gift card after $500 in purchases). We may be signing up just for the Disney giftcards (it definitely wouldn't be our main card though because the reward points are subpar compared to our current rewards credit card.)

My question though: how do the meet and greet perks work (at Disney World). I believe one is in Epcot and the other is in DHS. There is a free pictures included but if we're already doing Memory Maker, that isn't a big deal to us. So I guess my big questions are 1) What character(s) at Epcot and DHS? And is it really an private/exclusive location or does it function like a fastpass to the character meets that are already there?

The Epcot location is exclusive to Disney Visa Cardholders (including Disney Debit Cards). There will be one or more of: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and/or Pluto. The characters change during the operating hours.

The DHS location is a separate entry to see Kylo Ren (you skip the regular line). This location does not honor the Disney Debit Card.

They used to offer one free print from the Disney Visa room, but now you get instructions on how to download them for free.
