Disney Visa- Free Companion Flight

I received my new Disney Visa card yesterday. A letter was also enclosed stating that if I charge so much between now and July 31st, I would receive a certificate for a free companion flight to go to Disney World or Disneyland to be used before November 2006. I had many questions, airlines?, travel agent?, how to use certificate? I called Disney Visa, man had no idea and directed me to Disney Travels. They had no idea. Disney Travels called Visa and found out that you can only depart from 8 cities. 7 of them are in California, the other is Orlando Fl. This doesn't help me in Pa. I wanted everyone to know so you dont spend money just to get a free flight!! Any questions, just ask.

I just got this offer yesterday, and was wondering about the limits. I figured it was in the "too good to be true" category.

I'm going to call and see if I can get any further information. It would be worth it for us to drive to Cali for free flights. We'll see...

Those are the cities that service Disneyland and WDW and would be the airports you'd need to fly to/from in order to get the free companion ticket. For those interested see the Budget board thread for more details:

I called back, spoke with a rep named Katherine and she said that you need to fly INTO one of those cities listed in order to obtain the free companion fare. Perhaps the rep you spoke with was mistaken as obviously that would make no sense. I spoke with the regular rep who answered (named Sophia) who transferred me to her supervisor-Katherine-when I pressed further about the offer.
