Hey everyone!

Does anyone know where the Character Meet and Greet is for Disney Reward Visa cardholders? I know it is at Epcot, but are there specific times/locations?

Can you take your own photos or is it strictly a Photopass type opportunity?

Thanks!

Its in the Innovations Building to the right of the ball as you go in. We had to ask three different people to find it! It's behind "The Black Curtain". It was fine because it was indoors and free, but I wouldn't necessarily kill yourself to get it. Our characters were Mickey and Goofy. It is a photopass event and they give you a voucher for the free picture. You can also stand there and take your own photos as well.

Ok thanks for the info. Free is always good haha. The event runs all day?

No, it does not run all day.

It is held daily, beginning at 1:30 and only goes a short time, maybe 1 1/2 -2 1/2 hrs at most. Maybe someone else knows length of time for sure.

We did it last trip and had Minnie and Goofy.

Characters change and you never know who is going to be there.

I think it is worth the wait if you get there a little early to be up in line. Some days it is more crowded than others.

Be sure to take your Disney Visa, as you must show it to the CM who hands out the photo certificates. You also need to hve a photo pass card. They will give you one if you don't have one already.

The ppcard is what they use to pull up your pictures at the camera store so you can get your free photo.

It was well worth the wait for us -- they wouldn't tell anyone who was going to be there and they took a photo of DGS when he first came in, and it was the best photo of him we got all trip. A real, genuine big smile when he saw Mickey, Minnie and Goofy all in the room -- got fun photos. We got in line shortly after arriving at Epcot in the afternoon, so we were fresh and rested, and wore nice shirts. It was much better than waiting in long lines for each individual character, plus it was inside so it was cool.

i believe the website says the hours are 1:30 to 4:30. i went later in the session but i dont remember the time. it was an easy wait since it was inside. we got lucky with mickey and pluto, if you want to know who is inside just ask the family leaving, most people will tell you and although it can change since its inside as long as the line isnt long it most likely wont. my mum took a ton of photos of me with them and the photopass people dont mind. the worst part was waiting in line at the end of the day for the free photo.

We hit this on our last trip and had a positive experience. We went on our first day (first thing!) at about 3:30 and there were 2 families in line ahead of us. We met Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. The 'handler' CM even grabbed our camera from DH and told him to get in the pics as well.
I have such great memories of that visit!

Does anybody know if the certificate for a free photo must be used for that specific picture? Or can I get a print of another picture from my photopass card?

Also- DH and I both have Disney visas. Will we each get 1 free picture?

Thanks!

The certificate is only good for the pictures taken at that location with a photopass. After about an hour you can go to the store under the ball to pick your photo. They can crop, zoom, lighten, darken and do various graphics. We just use our regular photopass card, no need for a separate one.

[edit] as for your husband getting a photo too, I guess it depends on if it's the same CC account. My wife and sister in law each got a photo from their session but it's different accounts. If they even check the numbers.

One other thing is, you can do it everyday if you want but the wait can be long.

Thanks Baltazar. I was hoping I could get a different shot from around the parks for free.

And technically we do have different account numbers- they are actually debit cards to the same account, but with different card numbers they would think they are separate. However, I don't think we need two copies of the same picture!

I don't believe it has to be the same picture. They usually only take half a dozen pictures or so, not a lot to choose from. But if you have little ones they'll ham it up with just the kids.

One CM took my son's camera and snapped along with the photopass CM.

Then, the CM overheard my son's comment about Goofy being his fav, so they snapped pictures of him and Goofy. I learned something new about my son that day!!

Though it's exclusive for Cardmembers, we still had to wait about 20-30 minutes. It was worth the wait.

Even the CM reviewing our free photo helped us choose the best picture. I just love this place! :lovestruc

The "coupon" they give you says you're supposed to get one from the VISA shoot, but the CM in the camera center voluntarily said I could get any one I wanted (I however, wanted the Visa one, with Goofy, Max, and Minnie today 11/08). The photog also took one with my camera, as well as several with the Photopass camera. It's definitely worth the wait.

I hope this time I find it, last time we couldn't --my Dsis kept saying to me (from home) it's so easy to find...but I still couldn't :headache:

In Aug, our landmark once inside Innoventions was the firetruck! Find the firetruck and then look for the sign and the black curtain behind it.......

We found it worthwhile, only waited about 5 mins and had fun with Goofy and Minnie. Agree with a PP who said waiting in line at the photopass place was the worst part!
