Disney Visa Double Rewards

I got the offer and registered, but when I looked at my statement, the grocery stores and gas stations I used the card at were listed as "other" so I'm sure they're not going to count.

My statements says "other" for groceries too.
When the offer came out in Oct, I called Chase to see if my grocery store was elegible for the double rewards. They said yes. It lists as "other" but that they actually are on their list as a grocery store.
I just checked my statement and I received 15 bonus dollars.
When these bonus offers come out, call Chase and see if your store is listed as a grocery store to see if you will qualify for the bonus $$.
And yes...you do need to register in order to receive the bonus $$. It's not automatic!

I recently made the decision to stop using my Disney Visa for everyday purchases. I'll only use it if I think I need to take advantage of the 6 mos. 0% on Disney vacations. It just really irks me the way they jerk people (myself included) around about the bonus rewards. I'll use my AMEX and get 3% on gas/dining, 2% on travel, and 1% on everything else. I bet that will add up a lot quicker than using the Disney Visa!

I checked online for how gas purchases would be credited with the Disney Visa.

BP (British Petroleum!) was listed as "other"
Speedway (again a major fuel chain) was listed as "vehicle expenses"
Kroger (the fuel, not the grocery) was listed as "other"

Go figure

Oh, and NO grocery in our area is listed as "grocery"!

We have a dental bill and even that is listed as other. All groceries are as well in this area and the gas stations. It's not a big deal, but there are better rewards than that. The point is they make these promotions sound so good but when it comes down to it, it's really nothing. Come on... 1 extra reward point for 1800.00. I think they have to know that most things won't count and I have called many times and it does no good.
