Disney VISA code and the GF

I have read that some people were able to apply the 40% off Visa discount to the Contemp and others, has anyone been able to do the same for the GF?

Generally, all resorts of a particular category are covered by a discount offer, but not all resorts may have availability on the dates you want to travel. The GF might not be excluded from the offer, but there might be no rooms available with that discount for your dates (even if there are rooms available at rack rate). The best way to answer your question is to call with your dates and check.
