Disney Visa card?

Back to the % question, mine rate was 14.9% and did lower it this morning to 11.9% (still not a deal), has anyone lowered it to a decent% like 2 or 3% ? I do sometimes carry a balance which leaves no deal but maint.fees are $5500.(but that was paid off) so when I asked the Chase rep if that was the best he could do he said yes and I said I have a discover card that has 0% and I would transfer it and he said go ahead!!! I thought it was ride, I will try again later ! Any thoughts!!

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm a young college student and this is my first credit card. What are these yearly maintanance fees everyone keeps mentioning?

iFama- The maintence fees are what we pay as DVC members for the points we have purchased through DVC. I hope that helps.
And some advice for a young college student. Stay away from credit cards until you graduate and have a real good job. Keep one for an emergency.
The same advice I plan to tell me children when they are in college. :)

I took advantage of one of the perks of the card in January. I took my wife to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway for her birthday. The regular price of the tickets were $110 or something like that. I think I ended up paying around $50 or so per ticket, and the seats were decent.

How do we find out about the perks? We use the card (especially much now that we are going in July to Disney). Anyone know if you can use it for a discount at Hoop de doo review at Fort Wilderness?

That's what I thought! (I was just making sure there wasn't any hidden fees on the card I was unaware of.) I'm actually very responsible with my card, and for part time work I have a pretty decent paying job, so I'm really not that worried since my limit is only $4,000. I'm basically just using it for the points, I try not to carry a balance. And those points are going to come in handy for my November trip! :)

Just got my card last week, slightly confused as to terms of the 6 month free financing on travel thru WDT Co. & DCL.

Anyone know if the financing period starts from the date of down payment or the final payment date? Asked WDT, DCL & Chase - can't get a consistent answer????

Benefit really isn't that great if it's from day of booking, especially for a cruise.

If you just got your card last week, you should have 0% intro APR for 6 months regardless of booking a trip or not.

When you do book one, though:

I just booked off of the website, putting the $200 down payment. On my statement, it says that I have 0% for up to $200. However, I have a balance this statement so anything over $200 will have APR on it. When you charge the rest of your trip, the 0% APR will cover the cost of the trip for which you charged. Hope that wasn't too confusing! :wizard:

Yes, we are using our Disney Reward Dollars for our APs (with DVC discount!) this year. We're so excited! We feel like it is found money, and really helps to offset the cost of the trip. We also buy Disney Dollars with each paycheck in the months leading up to our trip so we have some heading into our trip.

You can view what the offers are when you log onto www.chase.com Click on view current offers or something of that nature.

And no there isn't a discount for Hoop de doo for using your Disney Visa.
