Disney Visa Card Summer Discounts out!!!

I'm counting myself lucky that I got the discount at WL even though we'll have to change rooms. As of this morning, there is nothing available on the public discount for WL except club level. Going to be a busy time at the parks in June! We still have the AP discount to watch for, but I doubt it's going to be much different.

Well, we're spending $1,200 MORE because we decided to switch from POFQ (no discount) to BWI (30%.) However, we are saving $1,800 at BWI compared to rack rate. How's that for Disney math! Lol!

The lack of rooms being available is making me nervous! I am anxiously awaiting fall discounts. I really hope we can get it applied when they do come out!

I am annoyed that as a premier cardholder, that I did get any notice or email about this. I'm an AP holder too. I wish they would be better about communicating these types of discounts. I already have a summer room ressie, only at ASSp, but any little discount helps.

I too was curious about why I didn't get any notification of the summer discount (I have the "regular" Chase Disney Visa) so I called Chase Disney Visa just a minute ago. The person I spoke with said that the discounts aren't offered to everyone who has a Chase Disney Visa, but that Disney targets certain cardholders for certain promotions and those lucky people will be the only ones who get the emails and for whom the offer will appear in their Limited Time Offers on the website. I must not have been one of the lucky ones, because I didn't get an email and the offer didn't appear for me. BUT, because I knew of the offer by reading Disboards, last week when I called Disney to book our trip, I asked about the "30% off for Disney Visa cardholders." And, like magic, I saved about $800 on our July BWI Club Level stay. Moral of the story: Disboards rock!

could be Disney strategy. still offering discounts but less rooms and more resorts excluded. I saw posts last year from people having trouble getting FD rooms a few weeks after the offer came out. My family went in 2013 I know people were posting that they were still able to book the FD offer long after the offer was released. So it "looks" like lots of discounts but not so much as there are not as much availability.
