Disney Visa Card Summer Discounts out!!!

Hey I got the deal yesterday by calling in but still no email. I had a preexisting reservation which I put a deposit with a disney visa. Reservation is linked and they have my email in mydisneyexpereince. So why no email yet? Do all visa card holders get an email? How do I get on their email list?

I never get the Disney Visa emails. I think room availability, at all resorts, has become very limited. There are not that many standard rooms, parking lot view, at POR. It is a very popular resort. If I had to pay rack rate, I would book the lowest priced room category to stay there.

Are you the primary card holder? My wife gets the Visa emails, but I don't, because I have the secondary card on the account.

If you are the primary card holder, you'd need to check your email preferences with Chase, as the emails are sent by them. Your contact info with Disney and in My Disney Experience doesn't affect the Chase Visa emails.

I usually get the e-mail later in the day its released but nothing this time. Log into your Disney Visa account though Chase and click through to the rewards page and there is a spot to check off to receive offers by e-mail

I got the email about 1pm est yesterday. Their emails come from Disney Rewards if that helps any.

I can't find the spot to sign up for the emails. Does anyone know how? I have a Disney Visa, but never get any emails?

Tried to get a Visa discount at CBR for 6/24 - 7/1 and only pirate rooms are available. I booked 2 pool/water view rooms about 6 weeks ago, and we decided we would change to a standard view to bring the price down a little. The Standard, preferred, or pool/water view rooms are not available on the discount because there are no rooms to be had, even at rack rate! Could get a better deal for a king/pull down room at POR (there are 3 of us in each room) but we had our heart set on CBR, so for now we are going to keep what we have and keep trying to get a standard room, hoping that there will be cancellations. Although it sounds like if we do get something at CBR it will be at rack rate. I've never seen this happen before! Bummer!

I really hate that you can't book this online as a Disney Visa cardholder. Having to call is annoying....

I agree. I want to play around with dates and different resorts -- it's very difficult to do that on the phone.
Seems like it should be simple to book online -- if you use a Disney Visa, you get the discount! If not, then no discount.

Can you book general public offer online and at what time it becomes available?

Our dates are 6/13-6/20. We had the first 3 days first on the public discount, then later on the AP discount. Any date you have from the 16th forward is not on the spring discount. It expired on the 15th, but the 15th is included in that spring discount. I am certain your TA is wrong on this- the previous discount does not apply on any dates past the 6/15.

You will have to book it as a split stay in order to keep the current discount you have. We just did ours this morning and it's a room only discount.

We are also staying 06/13 -06/20, so would need a split stay to get both discounts. I know Disney says no guarantee of same room over both reservations, but what is your experience with that? How likely is it that we will have to change rooms? When would we know whether we had to or not?

I am wondering the same thing. Trying to decide if I should chance it or maybe just ask for the discount for the longest part of our trip. We are also going at the same time.

I was just told NO
Big bad no!

I haven't finished reading the thread but I wonder if you would be lucky enough to use this promo for the last couple days of the promo and when the Fall promo comes out use that one for the rest. It's risky and I would struggle to do that with trust but if your dates were firm and you were going anyway, worth trying to watch for that option. Of course it might mean a room or resort switch. I don't travel with kids so I could hop if I had to.

I got so excited when I saw this thread and I'm not even going this year.

Now that I caught up I see people have suggested this option.
Good luck!

We've never done it before- so I have no idea! We have always just lucked out and our trip dates fell within one discount period.

From what I read on the Dis, they will make every attempt not to move you, but won't guarantee it. Without a truckload of pixie dust, we will definitely have to move as we have different views booked on the split.

if you log into your account on line there is a place to check off if you want to receive offers. I do get the e-mails but always late afternoon/early evening. much better to watch here as you will know early in the day

I tried looking for a place to do this online on my account page and came up with nothing. Can you be more specific about exactly what to click on to ensure you get e-mail offers?
