Disney Visa Benefits

Can anyone tell me the benefits of having a Disney Visa?
Are the benefits automatic or do yuo need to charge a certain amount?

A brief overview is: when you book a Disney PACKAGE and charge it to your DRV you get 6 months @ 0% interest.

Save 10% at Disneyshopping.com when using a special DRV code.
10% off any merch from World of Disney in DTD for any purchase over $50.

We pay everything we can with it just for the points and pay in full each month.

We got $300 off our Aug 2008 vacation.

Plus lots of people go "I love your card".

[edit] last years (2007) magical gathering of 15 was paid for with our Visa. Cha-ching.

Do you have to pay the balance in full before you can get the disney dollars? I just booked 2 packages, and was wanting to get the dollars reward before our trip in January. Thanks.

It has to be paid off then you get the points.

You have to call Chase to transfer the points to a gift card but the card expires so don't transfer too soon. I think it's like 6 months but I'm not sure.

The points don't expire but if you transfer them to a gift card, they do.

One time we saved up points for two years, that was a windfall that year.

The points go on pretty fast but after you call Chase it takes about 10 days to get your card.

You can call them to transfer more points to the card but it does not change the expiration date.

Yippee - we just booked last week, for free dining next month with our Disney Visa!

We also got a discount on the room.

Also, I know there is a spot in Epcot where you can get a free photo with some characters. Never done that. Also, they were offering free stroller rentals in DisneyLAND in California - darn - we used strollers a couple of years in a row at WDW, and they added up! Worth it anyway...
